You should watch the live version. I was a little surprised when I noticed that including himself there's a total of 6 guitars.
😂the magic of post production. You may like to know that most contemporary worship does a lot of post layering. especially with electric guitars. This song probably had a few more than 6 lol.

A lil b.s. pre-amp of some kind in line with headphones will generally un-sterilize your tone enough to be enjoyable for honing your chops. Or start buying lumber and build yourself a wood shed!!!

When i was 15, my dad was freaking awesome eith supporting me playing. He bought me a setup so loud that it legit cracked some windows in the house. He didnt care about the noise.

My dad just got me the guitar I want for Christmas (it’s still in the mail) classic vibe tele! I’m so exciteddddd
brotha, u gotta start at 11 volume (10 volume plus a boost pedal) then you go down to a 9 volume.. by the time she comes in the 3rd time youll be down to 5 volume and still have some headroom for the tubes to work proper 😅 been there
Man this is so true!!! Im retired now, but I did road gigs full time for 22 years, and you find out no matter how quiet you start, they ALWAYS want you to turn down, so start at 11 so you have somewhere to go. You nailed that my friend. God bless!

@liamgonser1339 yeah, although check out playing on headphones through some software like guitar rig. It's still not the same as listening to the amp, but to me it feels a bit like listening to a recorded guitar so its cool in its own way
It sucks cus i have a valve amp that sounds great when you push it but once you drop it enough that you don't hear it across the house. It sounds dull and dirty.

I tried
A worship team is to lead a congregation into worship...which means the instruments and voices should be pleasant. The lead vocal is singing off key and the musicians aren't locked... I was more distracted by the music and singing....
That first song was very different, I'm not too sure about the style but bonus points for confidence 😅 As long as Jesus is honored and glorified that's all that matters
