@@grandskyace ahh got ya. Never have used raptor of the mists. What does it do exactly? Like obviously makes you dodge stuff like that but in what manner?

When the skill is used, you crouch in a low stance. When hit by most attacks in this stance, the damage will be negated and you will do a little hop attack. The window is pretty generous.

The jumping attack spam is pretty egregious, but it really is probably the most effective way a lot of the heavier weapons are played because of speed/damage ratio and tight boss punish windows.

Raptor of the Mists is such a good AoW to have on a spare weapon.

And it's not just great katanas. There's a bunch of weapon types with only a few actual weapons...

It's in the video at around 5:05. Pretty standard Quality build trying to soft cap strength and dex.

No? He rolled both the slashes with one roll. The attack is significantly slower on current patch. You can also see in phase 2 the light fx are significtiantly brighter than the current patch and his back step slash has less recovery frames.

I have a bunch of fights recorded prior to the patch, and this is one of them. Just uploading them gradually when I have time. As mentioned already, there are clear tells that this was pre-nerf, like the speed of the cross slash combo and the recovery of the single cross slash. Also, the immediate gravity spin at the start of the fight.

Probably Moonveil/Transient Moonlight. Feels like it's the fastest out of these, as well as being ranged. Its damage is also up there. If Radahn didn't have 40% magic resist, it would be even higher.

Thanks! Haven't tried Dragon Hunter Great Katana on Radahn yet. Did a no hit run on Bayle with it a while back (as did a lot of ppl I'm sure). Will add it to my backlog, though it may not be the very next video (got some other stuff lined up already).

I think I counted 3 times in this fight where the Rellana Cameo buff was active. The 1 second wait to get the buff unfortunately makes it very hard to fit this weapons skill into most windows safely. So yea, agreed that it's probably not worth the slot for this fight. For other fights with larger punish windows it may be worth it though.

@@grandskyacemay be-and is, according to my experience. OP’s sentiment could also be used to make the case that the rotten winged sword insignia is also not very good. Like, yeah, obviously not for Radahn lmao.

@@grandskyace That makes sense, absolutely. I think the recovery windows this fight has are enough for a fully charged heavy consistently at the end of combos, but having to hold the stance for 1 second and then you have the 2 slashes minimum attack for the magic sword, it’s too much time to utilize it more than what you did. I think there are plenty of other boss fights where there are ample windows to successfully and consistently use the Cameo’s buff for R’s Twin Blades. Great stuff!

Hmm that's a tough one. There's a lot of fun weapons in this game 🤔 Off the top of my head - One of the rapiers, probably Antspur - Euporia - Carian Slicer - it's pretty much a weapon... There are other weapons which I probably like just as much though...

@@tytyq321 if you're talking about Rellana Cameo's buff sound, since I'm using Ritual Sword Talisman (which also has the red effect and sound when you equip it), the one from Rellana Cameo doesn't appear. Kind of annoying really...

I'm posting this to show people tho I do mess I do still get hit. And he is very aggressive and challenging. It's all dodgable with a alot of patience and learning. This is my win after 100s of tries maybe more idk lost count. But I never got mad or thought he was unfair. Cause this is fromsoft so tho this boss requires almost no breath room there are still openings and it never felt cheep to me. Just insanely hard

I know he’s too easy now. He did NOT beed a nerf. They didn’t nerf malenia, why would they nerf him?

“Absolute joke now” fight the boss normally, don’t cheese him or use bleed and you’ll see how hard he truly is. Consort Radahn is still a difficult boss, just made fair.

@Sekirofan-1 exactly ma G complete and utter hypocrisy and i love fighting her as well but it just begs the question on why they must do him dirty twice
