Alaskan Cabin in the Woods

While our winters here are cold and short on daylight, we make use of the time we have each day. Snap shots of our life in the frosty northern mountain ranges of Alaska
Never heard of coffee syrup, what is the bait ,how big is the wire, bad camera positioning
Well earned buck
Thanks for sharing very informative and understanding.👍🏻
Hi from Dalbo Minnesota ✋just started trapping after a 30 year break . I’m nearing retirement and figure I will get back to it again. I took 2 fisher this season the big 12 lbs male was sent to the taxidermy for a full body mount. Next season I will go for a otter . I see plenty of them near a creek next to my archery stand and was just checking out your video for any tips I can learn. Thank you
You call this a Marten trapping tutorial... Go buy yourself some bodygrip traps and evolve, we are not in the 70's anymore. This is a shame to responsible and ethical trapping.
Thank you! I’m just learning about trapping and your videos are super informative! I live in Appalachian Ohio.
With magnum 120 conibears readily available, I don't understand using a leghole trap. I'm a trapper and would never use this set !!!
This is a pretty standard Alaskan set. I would never imagine trying to lug boxes and extra traps each check out to set up a line.
Fr original American dream
You trap, you will be trapped. You get what you give...
New sub here just found you channel! Love the Alaskan lifestyle hello from WA State!
First time trapping ? Very sloppy good luck.
Love the song! …is there more?
Very Kool..
I love it! So peaceful looking.
Privilege on full display
How? Lmao. Obvious that you have never had to provide in the wild. 😂
Looks like hard work on full display to me
I wish that I could hunt and live there your home is a beautiful place and I love all of you mounted animals so cool
That’s awesome, I want to do that some day because right now all I hunt is white tail and turkey, stay safe 🙏👍
Hello dear friend. What do you use as bait? I really need this. Thank's.
Never seen coffee syrup used for trapping in the extreme cold- interesting 👍🏽
What brand of Chest Holster are you using if I may ask?
Hi David, this is the Guide Choice Holster by Diamond D Custom Leather in Wasilla, Alaska
A great video, a good service for other trappers! Otters have gorgeous fur, have good luck on them! And get good money for fur! Btw a beautiful fur hat! Is it your own work? From what animal is it made?
Thanks Lukas, this is a Wolverine hat, trapped by Bret, but a local friend of his in Wasilla, AK is who made the hat.
@@kenailegend Thanks! It is absolutely fantastic! It shows that fur trapping still makes a lot of sense, because no other material except natural fur would make such beautiful things. Wolwerine... A beautiful animal and even a more beautiful product from it. I hope Bret is very proud of wearing it! He has a really amazing job. Do you also plan any videos of checking the traps and catches?
That safety on the top .>>>really doesn't work, I have a 110 and got one of them and its lousy. Not enough give when you get ready to take it off, in other words its too narrow!
nice.
Love the hat. I want one. Which 3 Bears do you go to? I used to work in the Outpost for them
hi please please please make a complete video while removing the thick snow from car /truck, . please thank you
