wow, wonderful, I like the technique of taping a handle to the small plate. where did you get the tiny etching press?
Thanks! I ordered the tiny etching press from the Open Press Project website.
I love all your paintings!
How did you add the red?
Sorry for the late reply. I covered the tetrapak plate with red ink first then wiped it. And then I applied black ink on the head, chest and hands then wiped again. This technique is called a la poupee.
Really beautiful!
Thanks!
Owl!
Nice!
Thanks!
That’s a beautiful print.
Thanks!

hi, i love it. im new to printing and I'm about to get a mini press. what is the step where you put paper in liquid? thank you :)
Thanks! The paper has to be thick 200 to 300gsm. Soaked the paper in distilled water while inking the plate. After you finish wiping the plate blot the paper using newsprint or towel. The paper has to be damp not wet. Happy printing.
I love your art sir elmer ❤

Ty, this is what I was looking for, something I can make
You’re welcome
Thank you!! I was wondering if this would work. Love it!
Thanks!
Super! thank you for sharing it with us. 🩵🩵🩵🩵
My pleasure 😊
Hello Sir Elmer, very nice to see your work come up on a random youtube tutorila. Admire your art a lot. Looking to learn about intaglio printing.
How long since you started playing?
Ramon started to play the cello at age 11. That’s 51 years ago.
Thank you! I am inspired. Beautiful.
Thanks.
Such wonderful work. Thank you for sharing it with us. Can you also share where one can get a large tortilla press like that?
My pleasure. I had it custom-made by a carpenter here in the Philippines.
It’s wonderful to hear Chino playing the cello again!!!
That little handle is genius. I feel inspired to make some tiny prints. Was there any reworking done between the prints? Because it's crazy how many prints you were able to get from this recycled material! I use thin plastic and the amount of detail decreases rapidly.
Thanks. No reworking. This material can handle 10 to 12 editions at the most.
What is the purple mat made of ?
I cut a small piece from a roll of thin yoga rubber mat 🙂
How on earth do you do this and keep your hands clean? I am wearing gloves and covered in grunge😂
Just trying to be extra careful and using lots of tissue 😂 Thanks for watching!
very nice!
Thanks!
What an awesome idea and what a great book in a box.
Thanks
Hi pak. Saya dari INDONESIA. Saya mau bertanya.
Terima kasih ❤️
Maestro! Elmer, God bless always sir.
Ang lupet mo idol
Lovely print. I am looking forward to trying this technique soon.
Thanks. Let me know if you have any questions.
Beautiful prints. What tool did you use to dry point? Thank you.
Thanks. Any pointed metal will do like a leather awl, a compass or even a dart will do.
Very cool!
Thanks!
Nice
Thanks

This is fabulous! I simply love it all - the ink, the plate, the design, the press - flippin 'eck - what a smart move to have a furniture maker create such a beautiful press! I applaud you and all involved. Thank you so much for sharing.
