Daily Driving a Mitsubishi Pajero Mini in the US
Hey dollar store Doug, I don't need the review to know the GT25t ain't a parch on the GTR , because I've driven both and own a GTR and there's no comparison. But i appreciate the deep dive review. FYI, Overdrive just allows the transmission to use the overdrive gear (> 1:1) for highway driving to obtain best fuel economy. If you're towing, climbing hills or driving assertively you may not want the transmission changing into that top gear as it can lead to the box hunting constantly between gears, so you can turn it off. Some also turn it off around town for the same reason and because the fuel saving that it's designed for is largely irrelevant, or may actually be inverted if the car is in a high gear at low speed requiring more throttle to keep it moving when it's way outside of the efficient meat of the torque curve. Others also feel that the less gear changes the less wear on the box clutch pack, but I'm not sure how relevant this is. I've never heard that it affects idle speed, that's much more likely due to A/C being on. Power mode just changes the gearbox logic so that it holds gears longer. There's a little micro switch on the accelerator so that when you floor it (you'll probably here it click) that will also engage power mode and make the computer hold onto gears longer, ie under low throttle load the gear box won't change up immediately. Snow button makes the car pull away in second to prevent spinning the wheels in the snow and may short shift on changing up.
What is this song?
Song is in the video description! Cheers!
r33 GTS-T owner here. With GT-R's getting so ridicously expensive, the GTS-T is still a good bang for buck car, but what I notice is that there's a big difference of people who love Skylines that praise them in every single youtube video and people who love Skylines but actually own one. Engine-wise their bullet proof, I got a big single on mine pushing about 550 at the crank on stock internals and it handles the power just fine. My problems with it are spare parts that are getting more and more expensive and hard to find, the money pit you'll find yourself in if your RB starts misfiring and ofcourse rust. These cars are notorious for rusting (just like an S13) and it's a constant battle.
The last sentence doesn't sound optimistic. A local dealer has an GTS-t on their offer for an equivalent of $18k, and it's overall in good condition, but it has some rust underneath the trunk. I think it's too much for me, I'll go for a ST202 Celica for way cheaper, plus the Celica is a LHD car, whereas R33 is RHD only. Parts for a Skyline are, yeah, another concern. The engine might be bulletproof, but sooner or later it will act up.
@@PrekiFromPoland some rust usually means a LOT of rust that you can't see. I would also skip it
Eeh, so this isnt like nio nomi?
Add battery and solar to charge it
I had to google what "garrote" meant. What exactly are you preparing for? lol
You look unemployed
do you have the vid with original sounds?
Just bought mine man
Did you happen to measure before and after ground clearance with this set?
When i see that someone paid to import and drive a slushie-equipped kei vehicle, it makes my d!ck hurt
I am glad you mention the safety first. When you are young its like, what ever...its fun... but as you get old you consider stuff like this much more. I have 2014 Nissan Armada and 2 people have ruined their front end by rear ending me. (left a trailer hitch imprint on their car's hood and front end)..., while I had no damage. These small cars are amazing, in smaller towns and driving in certain situations. Even driving cross country, its a 1 time thing, but if you are daily trying to drive a vehicle like this in major US traffic and highway situation you are bound to get killed, by literally like a Honda civic or something lol.
I had a Skyline GTS25t as a manual for 12 years (2000 to 2012) in Australia and it is still the best car i have ever owned. BTW the button you're asking about is for Japanese traffic conditions. It won't work now
This is dumb make it bigger so we can install it on the passage side
A bit distracting for someone driving no?
The price of this is insane for what it does. Great video though
So you are “reviewing” it and decided to disable half of the features before filming? C’mon.
Music, speed, cop detection, shift indicator would all be really cool. Rn he's just kinda ":D :○ >w< >:(" lol.
It would be cool if it showed basic info like gas mileage and temp
Great video man, thanks! About to get a '96 GTS-T. Cheers
Is it legal to drive in texas?
What a nice useless piece of junk you got there dude.
I hope they introduce one with a battery so a cable isn’t needed going across your dashboard.
During the summer time, it might melt cuz exposed under the cruel sun
Are they going to make a wireless/chargeable one?
@ellisjdm the "snow" mode for the gearbox should let you start from the 2nd gear and reduce torque to eliminate wheel spin in slippery conditions.
I wish it was a gear indicator for manuals
Can you put like your own noise for start up
Best thing is the sounds and you didnt show them? Sht review
Button says traffic info changes the radio station to the traffic radio station.
Homie is doing a review and leaves out one of its main reasons for owning one. Boooooo
what's it's main reason then hm?
Review was wonderful and helped me out a lot
100$? Maybe 40$ don't do much tbh
If only it was a real human companion
So it doesn’t react to driving? What’s the point? And I vote for battery option. However I was going to hardwire for it on my steering column. Pass till it reacts to revs/speed and or music.
Sucks it needs to b plugged in. Only con I have for it
It’s pretty expensive for what it delivered
Do they have a rechargeable option. Not running a cable
Intro cracked me up
Are u in orlando bro i swear i saw a dude dtiving with one other day 😂
Directly to the rubbish bin
Thank you for showing the instruction booklet that you had. They sent me a gen 2 mochi with gen 1 instructions so there was no mute button
Love the music used and fun editing in this vid
Just picked one up for 78 aud shipped how is the display quality and speaker quality
Super cute. Was thinking about buying it then I realized I had to run a cable through my dash 🥲
Ooo persona?
where i can find these anmimations to use in my own projects
Why is it $50
I was going to buy it but realized that the cable is too inconvenient. A nicer display and a battery option would go a long way.
Yeah thought that to
My exact thoughts. Should be chargeable/battery option
def needs a battery
is there really no way to mute it?
