My first time at Essence Festival in New Orlean was great! I came excited and curious and left inspired. Sidebar: I never noticed how much a cuss until watching myself. Yikes, maybe turn the volume down from a 8 to a 4. Living and learning.
Travel rating rundown:
Airport: Louis Armstrong International airport- MSY
5/5 Signage everywhere ! It was clean and organized, Essence information at every turn. We had checked bags and the wait was not long and ride-share pick up was steps away.
Hotel: AC Hotel by Marriott New Orleans French Quarter
3/5. It was clean and got the job done. Not a lot of natural light and good location.
Experience:
4.8/5 - A few points lost because there was so much going on this weekend it was hard to keep up. From the brunches, to the parties and concerts oh my!

In my first sales role, I made presidents club. Traveling for leisure with my colleagues was an interesting experience. It was insightful to see people in their element with their spouse and/or loved ones. That is what brought me to Mexico but I spent the time making memorable moments with my husband.
