Fun time getting on the rails we set on in Warden and travled to the far side of Moses lake then a couple other small towns, this run we were heading to Othello. This is just a short clip, un edited for some of my relatives can watch and get a glimps of setting in a 1969 Fairmont railcar and going down the tracks.

มุมมอง 4294 ปีที่แล้ว
I chose to do some panel repair on a 1969 Fairmont inspection Railroad Car. I first had to remove the side window, remove the aluminum panel from the car and weld a area in the panel that was split. This painful video is my attempt to let others know one way to go about reinstalling the glass. I will also up load aditional short videos with some more information. Yes I know audio quality is poo...
Rohn Yaesu 450 G rotor installation project
มุมมอง 9K5 ปีที่แล้ว
Rohn Tower Project, mounting a Yaesu 450-G rotor. Machining a base plate to mate with the Rotor so it will line up with the mast. I am filming with a Cannon pocket camera that I have had for about ten years. Please feel free to make constructive comments and subscribe if you would like. Thank you for taking the time to watch. 73 everyone.

Rohn 25G tower to mast bushing

This is showing the bottom side of the tower tube where the mast comes thru, I machined nylon bushings and aluminum stop collars. At final assembly the mast will be above tower by five feet, giving me a total of 35 feet to bottom of Hexbeam. Again sorry for video quality.

Showing how I am mounting a 1 5/8 mast to tower. Sorry for quality, but hope this might answer a question or two on one way to fix antenna mast to the tower.
How much do these sell for? Mt19 in a barn by my shop.
Depends on the shape it is in, running or not, complete or parts missing and what model it is A good runner will sell for $3500 to $4500

That was a really cool ride! Looks like a well maintained track. Thank you for sharing this adventure with us my friend.
I would love to see a video showing all of your railcar, inside and out.
Moses Lake to Othello? That's a whole lot of nothing right there. What radio is that? From the back I'm guessing it's an old Spectra.
WoW1 Thanks for sharing, have fun.
Gnats for your video. I'm trying to figure out how they rotate. It seems like it's all bolted together when I put all the bolts in. I guess I just need to wire it up and see what happens.
7:00 Great view up there!
Yes it is, looking forward to visit GP
Great video, I love the Honda CT's.
Great job! Thank you for the recon of the town!
VERY COOL ! That little Honda really goes ! That looks like Down River Drive along the Spokane River. HUGE LIKE 2 👍👏💯👌 I don't know how you made it through those bats ! HEY I am also a Recycled Teenager man !😂🙃

Hi, Nice job. I have been unable to find a base plate can you please supply a link? Thanks and looking forward to your reply.
You're a talented guy.
Where did you mount to thrust bearing? How big in OD pipe will this rotor accept? What kind of mast pipe did you use?
It's Me Again thanks. I installed the 450’in my tower today. Posted it on my channel. I didn’t know these had plastic gears in them:( too late now hihi
@@JayN4GO My rotator just stopped today it's not like I use it everyday. I put it together about 6 months ago on top of my roof and mounted it to the chimney. I figure something inside of the rotator has malfunctioned . I don't have a warranty on it and I will just have to climb a ladder and hand turn it when necessary. I sure am glad I didn't put it on my 50 foot tower. Plastic gears could be the same crap inside it. The control box sends power to the rotator and you can hear it up on the roof trying to turn . The strange thing about it today was no wind or rain it just completely died..
Maybe the TA 33 mosley was a little oversize for it to turn after all .. I don't know it sucks
@@lostinspace280 that’s ok. I went with gas pipe. Very heavy. Not the best for lighter yagis but I’ve seen emt top rail bend over in wind. Saving my Pennies for aluminum haha
@@lostinspace280 first of all. Great call sign for Cw. You really lucked up on that one Ken. I’m still back and forth about winter fd. I think there’s a 160m contest that same weekend. Naqp Cw is this weekend! It should be a slower contest if you want to give it a try. Name and state is the exchange. Hoping some of these guys slow down for people:)
