You need to live in the Country, like in Vermont, wait until you hear at night a Black Bear coming across a fisher cat, then the screeching coming from it, and the black bear sound also. Like they scared the crap out of each other. I do not mis seeing those fisher cats

I know a lot people are saying that this isn’t a fox but a marten. I’m not so sure. There are something like 6-8 sub species of martens and most of them have much longer, weasel looking tails and smaller and rounder ears. They are a member of the weasel family and their appearance is usually easily identified as a member of the weasel family, such as mink, fisher, stoat, skunk, wolverine, weasel/ermine and a few others. I can’t make a definitive guess from what I can see in the video, but I put the video on my television and watched it several times, pausing it on occasion. I’m not 100 percent positive but my guess is that it’s a fox. The ears are much more fox-like than that of the marten, the muzzle is also longer and pointier than the marten, I just think it looks more like a fox. I suppose I could be wrong, but I’m still going with a fox.

Today, I saw a cabbage butterfly going from flower to flower, briefly pausing on each before moving on. Must be a pollinator in action! 🌺

One came within 7 feet of me in a meadow in the Klamath Mountains. These animals are absolutely adorable! Just the cutest! I am lucky one came so close to me.

It’s exterior looks so much like tree bark that it seems like it could camouflage itself for protection. It’s a strange looking bird with a strange sounding name but cute in its own way.

I never heard of it before but it would be a good story element. Ghost Bird! Sounds like a Poe story.

Axolotls are my fav animal and if they go extinct I will be so sad plus I’ve always wanted a pet axolotl

One of my favorite story books as a child was “Mr. Popper’s Penguins,” the story of how Mr. Popper came to put together a performing troupe of penguins. You could not help but love all of them, with their different personalities and behaviors. I wish I could have one for a pet.

As I recall the first Earth Day, our planet seems to be in much more peril now than it seemed then. That’s why your suggestions for Earth Day are more important than ever. I do think I appreciate our earthly home more than I ever did in the past.

Libraries are such a precious resource. It’s sad that they are often on the brink when it comes to funding.
