The bottom one is for the A/C. Basically my A/C fan motor packed up, which is one of the reasons it was not working. The other reason it was not working was that I had a hole in the A/C condenser which let out all of the refrigerant. I have since changed the condenser.

I used a flat blade screwdriver to release the fan housing lugs. I may also have used one to release the loom lug connectors.

I hope you manage to get it sorted out. The central bolt on mine is mounted onto a plate which is fixed to the gearbox with two bolts. In reality you don't need to remove the central bolt until you have the mount and the plate removed.

@@ianwheeler7903 I hate to tell you but once I had the tool for removing rounded bolts it was a half hour job. Yeah there is a part in the casting on my gearbox which sits inside ther mount, there is no upper part to the mount. Thankfully it sorted the vibration!

It could be the problem. I suggest you get underneath and give it a shake and see if it is loose.

Hi Lee, Unfortunately not. I am still trying to get to the bottom of that problem. However, at least I know that the gearbox is not going to fall out.

@@ianwheeler7903 I’ve just done mine today what a pig of a job my knocking as gone but still have abit off humming sound which I’m putting down to prop bearings cause they would had strain from that box mount.that’s tomorrows job though.have you checked if you got up and down movement on the flange

@@leefisher6226 No, I have not checked the flange. I get a rumble mainly at 25 - 30 mph which I now think is my tyres as they are both 10 years old according to the date stamp. I may swap the rear wheels with the front wheels and see if that makes any difference. If that does not work I will take off the prop shaft and check the universal joints/bearings etc.

@@ianwheeler7903 I’d look into to doing a diff oil change aswell I’ve had all the symptoms ur saying but since change that box bush it’s no where near as loud

Hi, Its an old van with a timing chain. I would not buy any vehicle with a wet belt even if you paid me. Thanks for your interest.

@@ianwheeler7903 Good to hear! Wet belt failure is VERY expensive! As a matter of interest, what happens when a Transit campervan needs welding for MOT, bearing in mind the loadspace area will be mostly covered with wood?

@@humourless682 Hi, To be truthful, I don't think that I am going to convert this van into a camper due to its age. I will probably just use it as work vehicle instead.

@@humourless682 The reason, I thought about converting it in the first place was that it was a cheap van. I was then planning a budget build. I was going to sell it on for someone to enjoy for a few years to get them into campervans. I'm just going to use it for work for now as it has 12 months MOT on it.

It certainly is Denise. It has been a challenge dealing with the mechanical bits, but it is to be expected with a 15 year old van.

Really, I will give it to the Mrs to use. 😁
