I DO NOT LIKE HOSPITALS - TAMARA DOGUBO
My performance at the @OrangePoetryx Live Show on the 28th of June, 2024.
In this poem, I use hospitals as a metaphor for the sterility I have experienced in relationships (Familial, Romantic and Platonic) when people choose to give the silent treatment instead of talking things out.
I do in fact hate going to hospitals but what I hate more is the death of emotional safety when ego trumps love.
So I hope this poem makes as much sense to you as it does to me.
PS: People say I always write rant poems... Well, considering this piece doesn't have a political undertone like most of my poems do, can we both pretend that this isn't a rant poem? lol

Heard a little girl recite this poem in a TikTok video that went viral after another person did a reaction to it. Found the person who wrote it in comments and watched this video. She defines beauty with her words, believes and passion. It's a different type of beaty and attaction; one that's not easily attaned, nor can it be seen, and especially not felt, by so many with superficial characters. I doubt she will read this, but if she does; can u write a poem about "what is true Beaty?" In today's world, most people are completely lost, thus also blind by materialistic, evil & corrupted societies.
So they cant possibly tell nor appreciate true Beaty; and that leads to many problems on today's society as its directly related to values, families, parenting, education, priorities in life, not being able to even recognize true challenges, but instead are consumed by negativity, division, and temporary false sense of satisfaction of all types. And Beaty seams to barely exist in today's world of broken homes, fans only careers, rewarded divorce making it an easy choice for most, as they already live life with implanted believes and non existent core values of good characters etc
It cuts so deep.
