This was such a great game and I remember the Napoleonic mod for Fight back and the HDN mod for this. I do wish this concept of individual soldier and mass battle rts games come back.

Very enjoyable re-creation! Love the use of the Gettysburg soundtrack! You know, outside of a movie with a billion dollar budget you could not capture the carnage of Pickett's Charge as successfully as you have done with your Mod! Well done-I tried to reload the game off the old dvd I purchased over a decade ago But too scratched up. I going to download the game and hopefully try your mod!

I really like this. I used to play the Fortification Mod long ago, the sound and graphic effects add a lot to the immersion of AC, which has good gameplay concepts. I also like that one nice detail, when corpses stay visible on ground, because the modding team scripted them as dead animal bodies. And therefore hunter units can obtain food from dead units. I just had no idea how much cannibalism the people in that time practiced. However there is one big downgrade for this mod, namely the god damn increased musket accuracy. Why did you had to do this? Almost every single shot fired is a kill. This could be pretty much the thing for bow units, but not for musketeers and it ruins any tactical gameplay with gunpower units. I would really like to try this mod again, but with the original accuracy levels of gunpowder units. This is not Age of Empires. There is a reason why GSG designed the game the way it appears. More nice details, would be command and marching sounds for Musketeers, Pikemen and Dragoons, as some more sounds for native groups. As all Fusiliers despite the british and US does not have any additional sound effects, also. I recognize the new ones from 'The Patriot' but there are way more to use for the other nations.

Too bad this game doesn't work on Windows 8 :(

I find it funny that I can play American Conquest Fight Back without problems on Windows 8.1, but not this one. Got a black menu screen with the music playing in the background.

Unfortunately its models, textures, unit animations, and destruction anims are not as good as AoE3, but it certainly is much more historically accurate than AoE3.

Swift review for ya It's a cool mod The biggest problem tho is European units seems so similar (both appearance and stat). The other minor thing is the Native American Spearman (the Aztec Spearman) is hugely overpower (throw spear as far as musket's range and kill anything!) Also the Standard Bearer and Drummer have no attack (like in original game) That's all the problem I notice. I'll be look forward to this mod XD XD
