thanks for the comment i will explain how to change that. i didnt explain that in the tutorial because i assumed a level of knowledge of reason rack but thats my bad im sorry for that. this wasnt a tutorial for subtractor but rather a specific sound. the fix you are looking for is when it loads up the bass guitar preset just right click the subtractor and it should show you a list of options, then click 'reset device'. this will open the init preset which should be just a sound of a sawtooth wave. if that doesnt work for you then you can just copy the parameters from the video after i finish. sorry for the confusion and i hope its resolved!

you cannot legally. but try illegaly. i cannot tell you how but well there are some ways. alterantively you can try making the same synth in serum or vital which is easily doable if you understand the synth. just try following the tutorial and do the same steps but with vital or serum

@@abbadonmusic thanks for commenting, i dont think i did have anything on (except a gclip on stock setting on master) but i went to the project file and it sounded very similar if not the same. One step i didnt mention verbally but did either way is to set the lfo1 rate to around 1/8T and set the amount to ~55 or 60. If that doesnt work there still should be a working link in the description that has the patch i made in this video. Hope this helps!

@@emberdubz honestly wish there was more longer videos. the quick 15 minute ones don't really explain anything they just show you what knobs to turn. but i could see how doing a few 15 minute videos explaining how separate things work being a good thing. if thats what he meant. would be cool to see more videos like this though, but with a voiceover explaining what you're doing and not rushing it as much like a speedrun

@@jcody_parker thanks for feedback! What i meant is doing some quick tutorials on things that are often wrong or some cool techniques you could use and stuff like that. I definitely want to make a single long video (maybe an hour) that goes over the whole genre and how to make specific sounds and stuff like that. Like an ultimate tutorial. Im still experimenting with youtube and dont take it super seriously because im more focused on my music but thanks for feedback nonetheless

Not my tracks. Tbh its not from any particular track. This is just a square4 bass in serum that is often created using malstrom to make og riddim. You can find basses like that in many riddim tracks but notably people like AD or Subflitronik
