    2- Those who adhere to the ecological model of health behavior are most at odds with which of the following ideas: A. Determinism B. Sociology C. Context of a behavior D. Cultural Anthropology Is option C correct?

    • @bitesizesociology
      @bitesizesociology 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It should be determinism because the ecological model of health behavior emphasizes the interplay between individual, relationship, community, and societal factors. It suggests that health behaviors are influenced by multiple levels of factors, including personal beliefs, social networks, community structures, and broader societal norms and policies.

    As a sociologist, I think it's better to use SI together with another theory, Since the symbolic interaction alone is vague.

  • @joejones5290
    @joejones5290 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I personally like and rate highly the symbolic interactionist perspective. I'm aware though it has its critics. Some say the SI perspective fails to look at structures of power in society. Others say it fails to look at the effect of socialisation upon individuals. It gives an impression of total freedom within social interactions which may not be entirely true. People come up against social obstacles in their interactions. Sooner of later, we come up against structures, culture, social norms and values, and these are difficult to ignore without incurring others' negative reactions, and the possibilities of negative sanctions.
