Not bad. First, capture the ambient sound so you can eliminate it in post for a cleaner final. Having no dialogue might even be fine so it can just be silent with added sounds later. Second: end it right after the spook, cut the squishy noises and distorted vocal fry sounds. You had it and went too far. Simplicity is the key to a good short horror experience.

It was confusing, and the frequent jarring jump cuts made it hard to watch. The audio mixing could've used some work, too - really hard to get the dialogue sometimes because of the sound effects. And relegating a really important plot point to the description is...not great. That said, I do think it comes together mostly okay in the end. The impression I get is that Lukus is having a breakdown due to the arrival of the Things In Black - he sees them as the final judgment of man, and believes he and his friends are found wanting. So he "cleanses" Fish - probably drowning him - and "cleanses" James by bashing his head in. Then, his work done, he submits himself to the Things. Did I get it right?

good short. but just a tip... if you show txt messages, just leave it up a bit longer. there was no time to read them. so i had to keep pausing just to read them. otherwise good acting on that main character
