      Being it's a Traxxas RC you will have to, at most, the battery connecter. I do know some of the Hobbywing ESCs come with the standard motor connecters and most of the newer ones have the XT60 connecter on the input (battery side). So if you get the right one, all you would need to do is get the plug converter from the traxxas to XT60 and/or update batteries as needed with XT60s. Like this, amzn.to/3KA14Ya

    • @metalgearrc2166
      @metalgearrc2166 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I do get where you are coming from. You also have to remember some people do love their brushed motors. On the other hand what if a 540 motor is too big for your rig and you want the functionality of a high-end crawler??? The 1080 G2 is a sweet deal then! Now, I do have and love the Fusion SE, and boy does it outperform most brushed motors. It also has a lot of torque for a 540 motor and may be too much for some RC models. So, it may be good for some RCs but not all of them. Think of it this way, it's better to have more options than to have very little options at all.

      I would have to agree with you that yes, when rock crawling you want it to be a smooth and quick operation between Forwards and Reverse. But for the people that want true scale driving will love the Real Car Mode. Like when I was at USTE, I had it in my truck with the real car mode on. I had a blast with it on the trails but when I'm rock crawling it's a pain in the but to keep switching between Drive and Reverse.

      I like them both but depending on what I was trying to go for. I would probably lean towards the 4Runner if I was going for the look of an everyday vehicle that trails. But the CX2 if I was going for the "on a budget" trail truck. But hey, thanks for watching and commenting. 🤘😁🤘

    One suggestion. Coat your rings, shaft and the recessed area where the rings go with shock oil first. This will lubricate and further reduce chance of tearing, but it also seals better. Team Associated also makes a product, green slime, specifically for this.

    • @metalgearrc2166
      @metalgearrc2166 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good input! Yes you can use green slime or shock oil to help protect the O-rings but it also adds to the difficulty of needing more things to get the job done. My goal was to show a simpler way to do it and not damage your O-rings and not to get oil all over everything. Thanks for watching and commenting. 🤘😁🤘

      I would definitely do that mod if I was going lower with it. I'll do that mod when I build a scale Toyota drift truck. Thanks again for watching and commenting!

    Just found your channel and subscribed. I love my TF2. If you want more performance out of the leafs,not only let them break in but I highly recommend doing the 'chino' mod. It really helps in articulation. It's very simple to do and completely free,lol

    • @metalgearrc2166
      @metalgearrc2166 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, thanks for liking and subscribing. I do know about the chino mod but it does have its pros and cons. I'm wanting to do something like the "Teraflex" and yeah, RC4WD has them but it doesn't look like they work as well as the 1:1 does. I'm working on something to improve the articulation but time will tell if I will succeed.

      @Metal Gear RC Oh ok,alot of people don't like leafs sprung trucks as they don't flex like say a scx10. I beat alot of locals in comps with there trx4,scx10,etc. as leafs are very capable once dialed. That sounds cool about making your own version of a teraflex kit. I'm not a fan of those myself. But will still be interested in what you come up with. 👍
