So I bought a Samsung S21 thats refurbished (which is still great mind you), and if I want to take great pictures all I need is a $200 camera? Technology has come a long ways.
Good phone, just has a small image sensor. It’ll take nice photos, just not as nice as this basic Sony NEX5.

You should compare it to some phones with better cameras Such as Xiaomi 14 ultra or Vivo X100 pro
Those also have a smaller sensor and aperture than the $200 camera, although a bit bigger than the iPhone. Great for everyday photos.
The fact people will buy a 2000 dollar phone is insane

It's definitely worth it if you're not planning on switching every year.
It depends, I still use my S21 ultra now and it's still good but I wouldn't go and buy a $2000 (£1036) phone when mine is 95% as good On top of that flagship phones start as about £1200-£1300 (1650USD or 2509AUD) here In The UK (24 ultra, 15 pro max, mi 14 ultra) And it's stupid at this point The Americans are complaining about paying $1000 for a new phone when in pounds that's £791 in comparison to our £1300 Anyway 😅
If you get a chance, you should try a a6400 compared to an A7. I believe they have the same processor and should be fairly equal.
I used it not long ago. The A7 series of cameras are full frame whereas the A6000 series are crop sensor. Both are great for different budgets and use cases.
@GRIPSHIFTMEDIA I just use my 6400 for video creation and as a web cam for streaming, is crop vs full frame that big of a difference for me? Also since the camera is running and producing video for hours at a time, the a6400 doesn't get hot at all. How do you think the a7s would do?
@@LunarisLupas I think A6400 is excellent for your needs. Full frame only makes sense if you do photography/video full-time for a living or want to spend thousands of dollars on full frame lenses as a hobby.

But the real test would be a moving object. The A5000 was good but I can the great photos with my Canon point and shootas well.
Good idea, I might do some moving subject tests. The camera is less important than the operator. The best part of the A5000 is the ASPC sensor, it's 4x bigger than a typical Canon point and shoot. Lets in more light and renders colours and shades better.
Is it just me or does the 500$ look slightly bettar than the 4k$ one
There's not a lot of difference without looking at the photos on a big screen.

This is one of the coolest cars I have ever seen. The R33 has been on my top5 favorites since forever and this one is one of the most beautiful specimens out there! And in white, which in my honest opinion is THE color for this car!
