Welcome to the Train Bros. Railway TH-cam Channel. We started our journey into the garden railway world a year ago as a "pandemic project". We have learned a lot during that time. Great. How long a run do you get? And how did you cut the tender? Did you use a dremel tool? Very much appreciated. Any issue with overheating now that summer is here? Thanks again for a useful and motivating video. So few Piko conversions out there with the sound.
3 hrs. of constant use. no overheating issues yet. and I use did use a dremel tool .

The coupler that you were doing is already assembled and they don’t come that way. Could you show a video on how to assemble the coupler itself because I’m having a horrible time I can’t figure it out that would be a big help. Thank you. Or just send it to me!

No, the locomotives are battery power. With railpro installed in the locomotives.

That is a piko steam trian with factory paint..so I guess piko has it wrong ...lol

Great update, like the tunnel portals and the buildings. Question - are your buildings scratched built? If so, what material is the walls and roof. Also what is your general area, in Canada or US? Great layout! 🚂🙌👍😎🌴
Some of our buildings are kit built....and some are home made out of plywood that are just painted.

Oh we know its not the Straightest but we did not want to disturb the garden on the left hand side so we just went off the old metal edge. We will fix it eventually.

We usually buy our stuff second hand ....its hard to find and we keep an eye out constantly...

Super. My railroad operates in and outside, and with some of my locomotives and rolling stock being almost fifty years old, they have developed a nice patina on the paint job from the weather and so much use that it makes them look very realistic. Do you have metal wheels on your cars??
Only on 1 or 2 cars but most of them are plastic.
@@TrainBrosRailway It's been my observation over the years that you have far less derailments if you use metal wheels. That's just been my experience , results ma vary!

Did you leave the Loco outside also?
No, we did not. we don't like to leave them out because it is still a little cold around this time of year, and we don't like to keep the battery's in the trains outside when it is cold
G Scale is for serious model rail roaders . I don't have the skills , money or yardage . I respect those who do . Take Care

Its a 12 inch culvert pipe .

Nice! I credit your channel for getting me started on a Garden Railway. I started with a small loop in the garden and plan on expanding Picked up a RailPro and your videos were much help! Going all battery to avoid the need for electric tracks.

How did you power the smoke unit through the RailPro board?
We used a relay switch . And hooked up the smoke unit to the battery.
What did you use for the pipe for the tunnel?
A plastic culvert pipe 12" in diameter.
That's really kool!! How much total area does your railroad cover? I only have a 15' X 24' area to build on. 👍👍👍
Our layout is 25× 50.
