Buses and trolleybuses in Vilnius, Lithuania - August 2022
The most common bus models in this video are Solaris Urbino IV (12/18), MAN A23 Lion's City G CNG, Anadolu Isuzu Citibus and Volvo B7LA 7700A. You can also see Scania CN280UA Citywide LFA, MAN A21 Lion's City (CNG) Solaris Urbino III 12 CNG, MAN A40 Lion's City GL, Volvo B7L 7700, MAN A23 NG313 and Irisbus Citelis 12 Castrosúa City Versus CNG. The most common trolleybus model in this video is Škoda 14Tr. You can also see Solaris Trollino IV 12, Solaris Trollino II 15AC, Škoda 14TrM and Škoda 15Tr.
The bus fleet is still almost to same, but the MAN A23 NG313 VVT 4011 has been withdrawn. The bus traffic will expand and the first electric buses will come probably in near future. The first electric city buses are going to be operated by private operators, not VVT. The last Euro3 buses will be in use at least until 2026. I will probably film a new bus video in 2025 or 2026.
23 Škoda 32Tr SOR trolleybuses are in service now (19.9.2024) and more coming soon. One Škoda 14Tr and one 14TrM seen in this video have been withdrawn: 2564 (from 1990) was withdrawn in January and 2667 (from 1999) in March 2024, not scrapped but probably not coming back. Many more have been withdrawn in last months, but I didn't get them on this video, but some of them can be seen on this years video (to be published much later). More 14Trs will withdrawn soon and the last ones (also 14TrMs) in 2026. There are only three 15Trs in Vilnius, but I'm not sure when they are going to withdrawn but maybe in 2026. After 91 2-axle trolleybuses, 73 articulated trolleybuses are coming to Vilnius (the model is still unknown until next year). Now Vilnius still has more old Škoda trolleybuses than any other city in the world.

Onko näitä vielä ajossa, ja tiedätkö milloin L94UB:t poistuvat Porista?
Vestejä ei ole ollut ajossa muutamaan kuukauteen, mutta viimeiset L94UB-Scalat eivät poistu ainakaan vielä ensi vuonna. Niitä on säännöllisesti ajossa koulupäivinä.

No, the bus fleet is boring nowadays. The oldest ones are MAN Lion's Citys from 2012.

16-Vuotta on HSL:ssä kaluston maksimi-ikäraja ja nuo Oxi-Volvot kuten aika moni Ojangon väliaikaissopimuksessa ollut kalusto olivat yli-ikäisiä.

These trains are out of use now?
Yes all of the old metro trains have been withdrawn, both these C6Hs 1970-1974, C14s from 1985-1989 (but with 1950s motors and bogies), and even C15s, completely new ones from 1985.

Hej Kaak Jeg tænkte, hvis Du kunne skrive, på hvilke lokale steder Du har optaget. Som for eksempel ved Hovedbanegården, Aleksander gaden osv. Men det er sjovt og rart, at se stederne ikke kun inde fra føre hytten, for dem ser jeg fra Taffu, Marko og Koodis, med nu også ude fra. Mange Tak for Dine videoer. Mbh fra danmark, leif 😺

Hvad er forskellen i hvor i HSL, som at de orange/hvide og så de blå/hvide køre. Altså fortæller farven noget om til hvilken del af Storhelsinki linjen køre eller noget om at det er for eksempel buslinje med færre eller kun enkelte stop eller en linje, som har forbindelse til jernbanen. Og så er der den helt blå, med de to tynde hvide og lyseblå bælte, hvilken slags bus er de. De helt hvide, som ikke er "turistbusser"/ langtursbusser, hvor passer de ind i trafikdelen. Jeg ser en del Taffu, Marko og Koodis om Jeres sporvogne, busser og metro, letbane, De er også gode at se, så man kan se Jeres Helsinki. Er Du selv ansat ved HSL. I danmark skal de forskellige entreprenør busser, køre med ens farve, som gælder for det alle busselskabet. Altså hvilken farve som regionens politikere bestemmer. Der ud over, kan de så have et logo på med deres firma, ud over regionens logo f eks Movia. Rigtig mange Tak for god video, med indblik i de mange slags bustyper på linjerne. Orange buses are used on trunk bus routes; they are like S buses and partly like A buses in Copenhagen. They are used on most popular lines and doesn't stop at every stop. Dark blue livery was used by Helsingin Bussiliikenne and white livery by Pohjolan Liikenne, and it is allowed to use operators' own colors until the end of this year. I don't work at HSL or any operator.

I think I only filmed 13 or 14 XLEs in 2022, but at least they will be on the video and it will be published maybe in September. I should have filmed a bit more XLEs, but now it's too late.

Little bit late, but 29th december 2021 3441 was last time serving passengers on the 42 line. At the time, you filmed, the bus belonged to the TLT Lasnamäe transport management department, a month later, it was transfered to Mustamäe department. From september-december 3441 was there, and serving lines 10, 16, 14E etc. 56E was not included. I also noticed an small mistake, 3441 is a CL94UA type, not CL94UB, these are the short ones :D imo, ecomat was not that loud on 3441, There were Scanias, that had louder ones, but it was still great! Anyways, nice video! Thank you for sharing it with us!
