Hi. Thanks for the cool video but you did not show the actual cutting of rocks. I was hoping to see how you set the rock into or onto the tray. I am using the size rocks that look to be a bit larger than the one you showed, but am trying to determine, before I buy, if the tray is needed. Or do you set the rock in and slowly lower the blade down? I am hoping that if I can get a good starter cut, then I can use a chisel and break the rock in two, then sculpt the flat side. Thanks for any input or help.

I am struggling with a similar noisy wobing problems and confused by two of the possible ways that the arbor and flange can be installed. If we use the official photo as a guideline, that your previous video is consistent with the official photo that has a piece of round metal, below the flange and contacting the blade, has a 1/2" indent with 1/2" from the edge. The Figure A of the instruction aslo shows that the same arragement if the darker line is assumed to be an indent. However, the setup in this video seems to have the round metal reversed. Please confirm this from calling the technical support.

The cube rock at 18 minutes isnt flat. If your saw is compatible then i would recommend looking at saw blade stiffener / stabilizer to reduce the wobble and overall kerf width. When grinding on the flat lap the stone has to be rotated 1/4 turn every 30 seconds or so

the blade direction should be in the same direction the saw spins, if it doesnt match flip the blade over., (It doesnt need to be on the outside,).. no the blade shouldnt spin on its own, your nuts are still on wrong. looks like the top nut is upsdie down

I watched your video on my bog screen. Now I have watched online with my computer.. And most of the info was pretty good, but the main problem I have is that the speed is much too fast. Rocks need the rubbing together to really get the rough edges off.. I have the two barrell 3 lb HF tumbler. Speed of the tumbler is the only trouble I have found. I oil my machine regularly and I use very good quality grit. I also run the rocks until they have reached the stage needed. But the speed of the tumbling is the main problem. Thanks for your research and the changes you made, but I wish you had found how to slow down the speed.
