The lyrics to this song came to me after meditating on Acts 17:28. "For in Him we live and move and have our being...For we are indeed His offspring". Since He alone is our creator and our redeemer, He is the only one that can meet every need in our life. And as Peter said in John 6:68, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life".

I grew up in a little Baptist church and at age 9 I gave my heart to Jesus. I loved the hymns that we sang every Sunday. We also had a lot of country gospel groups visit our church through the years. The hymns and the music were big influences in my life and in my musical development. I hope this song takes you back to visit some of your precious memories.

Jesus is the source of life. The Bible says that in him we live and move and have our being. In this life, we have to live in a fallen world, but no matter how insurmountable the challenges we face may be Jesus is there for us with his love and compassion and healing. Jesus is life. I wrote this country gospel song to remind us that he is our source and that he makes every need.

Country Gospel song that I wrote to tell the story of how I came to Jesus at age 9. The beautiful hymns of the church impacted me at such a young age. I cherish the hymns even more now and the precious memories of growing up in a little country church.
