Pound for pound is this the most underrated track in Steely Dan’s discography? It doesn’t even get much shine among the Two Against Nature standouts (Cousin Dupree, Janie Runaway). I think it deserves as much love as Deacon Blues, Babylon Sisters, Kid Charlemagne. It’s that good.

I like that they quote Eric Dolphy at 1.44. Bits of Dolphy tunes show up in their shows, including a band playoff of Dolphy's 'Serene'. It's on at least one of the videos on TH-cam. 👍

So much involved in this, but delivers like it is meant to....I can cry when I listen Steely Dan, it seems like another level of creative genius.....
