I think having the first game at home will have helped Partick no end. County are a very tough team to beat at home and had the first game been played in Dingwall i wouldn't have fancied Partick's chances. As it stands, they now have a great chance to gain promotion. I have to say also, that big forward gets himself into some tremendous positions, it's a shame he doesn't have a left foot or know how to finish.

To the young Blake. Its not everything in the power. You have to use the head also, but you are young and you will learn a lot

Mitchell is a great shot stopper.

Ayr looked sharp, forcing the Thistle keeper into a couple of important saves. But Thistle's attacking moves were just too fast, slick, and unpredictable for the Ayr defence. Great football.
