"Seapunk" feels a lot more like Frutiger Aero than all the weirdcore shit that people use as examples. THAT feels like 2000s internet. Weirdcore is just 2010s music, there's no real era-specific nostalgia. It feels like a genre trying to recapture the weirdness of Vaporwave and how that initially felt, whereas the track from Club Water Discus reminded me of Bejewled or something along those lines. Like, early low-spec PC games that you'd play on XP or Vista. Also, you do see a bit of interlap between Breakcore and Vaporwave with the whole Y2K aesthetic. Artists like Bye2 probably deserve a mention on here.

On the synthwave segment, you should’ve included com truise as an example of a synthwave producer

As someone who is a fan and just got into vaporwave i made it my goal to listen to all the names of the tracks in this video and it doesn't help that slushwave and the others are ubsurdly long😭

Future Funk and Vaportrap really are the best ones. They have such power as vast song lists. But Synthwave is the subgenre which has the huge crowd. A channel called "Electronic Gems" features Synthwave and gets so much praise.

The whole labyrinth of sub- and microgenres of VAPOR (haha, so true ^^) wave, often indistinguishable, you can subsummize under MUZAK, flat, "sweet", soft and LAZY ^^ Only background music, sleepy, slushy, cheap, splashing, meaningless, up to decadent. It only becomes interesting, when we speak about Synthwave: 80s Retrowave, Darkwave, Cyberpunk, Spacewave, with a bit of Electro, Ambient, Chillhouse, Lounge, LoFi, "Trap Beat" and Psytrance. Please make another video with the best SYNTHWAVE bangers! With born date and country origin, main figures and photos.
