Children In Crossfire 1974
มุมมอง 201K12 ปีที่แล้ว
Documentary about the effect the conflict had on young children in Derry's Creggan estate and Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1974.
Just Watched Say Nothing on Hulu, the guy who played Brendan, 'dark' Hughes was great. I knew most of these names and history, being an Irish american, who of course is very proud of my roots, who like all 'the Americans that are part Irish", most of which couldn't tell and Irish name from a German name lol. Both maternal grandparents were Irish Catholic 2nd Gen who were of Midwestern irish Catholic. One of my paternal grand parents was Irish, and the other was part German and Irish. I have been to Ireland twice, first time 2008 with family, down to County Cork Where a big part of my family came from. I have studied the conflicts and Ireland as a whole for a long time. I'm glad there is peace now, but the government of UK Started this shit.
This is what happened in Omaha I believe
Martin mi5
The dark a hero of irish republicaniam .
Hell holds a very special place for child killers !
A fighter and socialist.
Darky, all respect to you. Religion played no part in your war. Socialism and politics were.
What a lot of BS by cowards
That is a gross invasion of privacy rather than surveillance
Interesting fact, if you ever look at the vast majority of housing estates built after 1972 in Northern Ireland, there is usually only one or two ways in and out. they were designed that way so they could be closed off and contained in the event of civil unrest.
The Dark has seen the light ok and don't you wee boy's say anything against The Dark ok 😊
listening to gerry is stomach turning, what a lying traitor he is.
It created a bond between them
Hideously one sided documentary
Buck off

Gerry Adams a British secret servant
He looks like the bloke from Fawlty Towers. Manuel i think he was called.😂
The funny is they support british football clubs perticular the irish such is liverpool manchester arsennal
My admiration for Mr Hughes cannot be stated strongly enough. That he died not seeing his cause fulfilled is an awful sight. I hate that he was disillusioned. May he rest in eternal peace and know he is loved the world over.
May the innocent people he bombed on bloody Friday 21st July 1972 which included catholics rest in peace
Really open your eye's clown . What about BOBBY and PAT DICK MICK you see wtf im saying Good man wee boy 😂😂😂
This video was a “Who’s Who” of Republican British Agents. 😂

Brendan Hughes one of Irelands bravest men 🇮🇪🇮🇪
He was working as a British Agent dumb ass. 😂😂😂
This was a true man of Ireland who could not be brought into Gerry selling out to the British system the Dark was a legend and may his voice be heard from the 32 country. Just like Bobby sands MP lied to by SF leaders on his death bed adams had two houses in the 80s one in Dublin and one in Spain this is factual evidence when he said he was not Getting paid by the Republican movement I believe this however he was on the payroll of some other people the enemy
You are correct MO Cara ❤what men they were Bobby and his friends just like Brendan the Dark ❤of his people
And for what ?eterninty in a dark hell read all about it in the bible.
@@Utd_4Me heroes go to heaven
A socialist republic? Not sure how close that is. But I would rather the debate means some people are upset rather than dead. On either side, in case that's necesary (and thank God for spellchecker)
Can anyone tell me all army bases and RUC in the Belfast area plz thank you

If the PIRA army council had of serious listened to what Mr Hughes was saying and not agreeing with certain targets, we would of had peace alot sooner and not as many ppl would of died, RIP Irish Warrior ☘️
Topmen
It's So Sad That People Give There Lives For Freedom Good Men and women God Bless Them all Tiocfaidh ar la 🙏🍀
It was the roman Catholic church that put out all this propaganda for years they wanted state with in a state they did the same thing that Hitler did he demenis the jew then shot them
I met 'The Dark' in the 90s whilst serving in Belfast as a soldier. The strange thing was, at the time, he was surrounded by comrades who were also touts. The Irish Republican Brotherhood didn't apply when there was cash to be had handing over intelligence of which there was plenty of, and plenty of cash! You could tell who the touts were. Always in the bookies, driving a car or always money for a pint or three.
You must have been in the bookies and the pubs yourself to have seen all this
@@jacquiewalton1996He is probably right though
Adam's is a traitor to these brave men
A eye for a eye makes everyone blind.
Wat a Great warrior for Ireland. He should have been treated better. ♥️👍
Now he's dead 😮
I can’t hear a fucking thing!
Can someone help me ? ... at around 45:58 Brendan Hughes is saying something about the Taxi driver telling him that his car is always getting highjacked, ".... but you are the only one...... " ..I can't figure out how he ends the story / what he says from then on. I'd aprreciate if someone could help me out on this one. Thanks...
Taxi driver said his car was always getting hijacked in Newry could he (Brendan) do anything about it, Brendan said “yes, I’ll see about it when I get back.”
@@irenemohan😂 Thank you..👍🏽
I find the casual way the commander says “if you see a man with a gun you may shoot him.” Like “if you see litter on the ground you may pick it up.” As though there were no moral question involved.
Well where were the morals of a PiRA when they shot someone?
@@Willsey that isn’t good enough. You cannot justify immorality by saying the other side does it too. Each side committed atrocities and each side is separately responsible. One side’s bad acts does not whitewash the atrocities of the other. There were innocent human beings who died as a result of bloody Sunday and that is where the focus should be. Nothing mitigates that horror. On another documentary about a PIRA atrocity, the focus then should be on the guilt of those perpetrators. But here, with regard to this act, and having read more about Derek Wilford and his plans on Bloody Sunday, I find it only partly appropriate that his career was ruined by this day.
@@ATLmodK No and I get what you are saying but at least there was such a thing as a yellow card for all security forces. What you were allowed to do . The PIRA and UVF and UFF never had this to think about. Any atrocities were allowed. But when they were shot then the public and families would start bleating about brutal Brits. I do take your point about Bloody Sunday though. That was an atrocity that should never have happened and the Paras should never have been deployed there
Funny how terrorists who bomb innocent pple try play victim wen they get caught man up cnt have it both ways 😡
Gerry Adams works for special branch
Brendan Hughes a true leader of men his memory will live on for generations to come n the hearts n minds of all true republicans 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪☘️☘️🇮🇪32
Just another cowardly terrorist who would have wet himself like a wee boy if he'd fought face to face with UK Forces. No Surrender 🇬🇧
What ever 😂😂😂😂
Intentions to kill innocent people is shameful and evil
Saracens didn’t have sirens! Yet another lie! This thing is pure fiction and the idiots that are applauding this crap are so naive!
Such a bigoted sectarian view of the situation. As usual all about “the poor catholics” never anything about the suffering of the ordinary people, Protestants and other faiths. I knew Hughes and he’s lying! The PIRA never fired an RPG from a “sand bagged lorry” in Belfast, the border yes but never ever in Belfast, this was just pure sensationalism! “The absolute truth”! What a liar!
Terrance Clark was there front and centre when the two corporal’s were pulled from the car and murdered on the Andersontown Road. What a hero!. Most of the comments here are from naive outsiders who have no knowledge or experience of the horror inflicted by PIRA. To see these people as some sort of hero’s is beyond sickening! I suppose the people who crashed the plane’s into the Two Towers where hero’s in their community. Be careful who you applaud and congratulate, it often comes back to haunt you!
..."Soldier F, the man whose first name is Dave and who was a Lance Corporal in the First Parachute Regiment, may have killed between four and ten people on Bloody Sunday in Derry, in 1972, a parachute regiment soldier in the witness protection programme, has stated."
