How does the rocket engine stay in the tube? I've never had one like this and there is no stop for the engine. Does the engine expand or something to hold itself in place?

Little bit of wind there!

Wood glue can be used with Kevlar shock cord, just make sure the cord is soaked by the glue for best grip. I use epoxy for Kevlar cords, fiberglass, carbon fiber and Aluminum mounts. A friend of mine and I have taken and passed the Estes 30 Rockets in 30 Days Challenge and hope my skills can help you. We were both awarded 1 rocket from the 30 rockets we built, painted, with full decals and they were sent to hobby stores across the USA. Just have fun❤

Laminating your fins with printer paper on both sides, using the glue of your choice increases strength, decreasing fin flutter and no sanding wood filler required. Work smarter not harder dude. Rocket❤

Use graphite dust when shaving the plastic nose cone casting for visual contrast and confirmation. It cleans up easy afterwards.

Where I live, I can hardly get a break from the wind. It's calm early in the morning, but right now, it's too cold that early. Then, when it warms up and it is still calm, I will start shaking my paint can and by the time I get the lid off the wind is blowing. I think shaking the paint can makes the wind start blowing.😂😂

Used to launch them back in the 70's. We made the rockets completely from scratch, except for the parachutes and propellants. We'd make them to accommodate the biggest engines we could buy, but sometimes had a hard time finding them after launch.😅

I got attacked by flying ants and gnats. I was painting my first loc precision photon in neon green when 3 hit it and got glued to the paint..I dried and sanded it 2 times for repaint..😳

Winner Winner!! I have been subscribed to the LLR Monthly Mystery Box for quite a while and have never been disappointed. Nice box!!

I use a hard piece of copper wire, from a piece of 12-2 for wiring outlets. The little pieces I saved from trimming, maybe 6 inches long. I make a hook and one end and tape it on to nosecone loop. I hold it with a gloved hand. Of course you are holding the phone too. I use my wire as a handle then once painted, I make a hook at other end and hang to dry.

You could paint the fin can black to cover up the gross fillets.

I would have used epoxy or wood filler. I tried Bondo filler one time. It melted plastic it touched and it melted my gloves. Bad juju in bondo, xylene, made it hard to breathe in a small room.

If you were set on using CA glue, they sell these tiny capilary tubes to get the CA exactly where you want it.

Looks good is the payload section of rectangles upside down? It looks as if the last few rectangles taper in width towards the nose cone. Or is that the camera effect I’m seeing?

Ya know, they should offer fully painted kits. Arf is used in radio controlled, they should offer it.🤔

Yellow is the only color I have issues with..

Part I hate about painting is the bugs splating on my kits. 🙄
