Finally, some interesting sights! Second half of the video got pretty interesting with a "littlenavmap" malfunction and the mountain heights. Good flight today guys! Should have some nice VFR sights in and around Yellowstone for some sight seeing while we are in the area!

Retry of our Leg 3. Flying from Duluth Intl. to Bismarck Municipal in North Dakota! 6 different VOR stations with an ILS approach - VFR turn in for landing. Bowstring State Forrest and Leach Lake, Lake Winnibigoshish, Red Reservation Falls, through Grand Forks, over Jamestown Rgnl with a final right turn just north of Fort Rice into KBIS.

Decent flight today. I'm probably a little nasally than usual. Ragweed hitting me hard! Brought the flight down to 7,000ft to see some more topography in Wisconsin. Will probably do that more for the tour!

Quiet flight from Traverse City, Michigan to Chapleau Airport in Ontario Canada. CYLD had 2 RNAV approaches and an NDB approach, but the NBD approach was on the shorter runway, so we flew in VFR. Also, the livery comes straight from PMDG, although flightsim.to has TONS of beautiful ones as well! Did a flight this a.m. with the PMDG DC6 from KOSU to KTVC. Showing how to fly using ground based navigation, and how to cheat with littlenavmap to make sure you're doing things correctly if you are new to ground navigation. We did pretty good! Landing wasn't the best...again, but we survived. I"ll try to line us up a little better next flight and use the OBS and Localizer mode more accurately!...

Just a quick test flight with the PMDG DC-6 with hotfix 2 on sim update 5. I did a terrible job. Hadn't flown a full flight in a while but decided to upload the embarrassment none the less! I will try and do a "competent flight" tomorrow! Enjoy your weekend!

im rebel so I start my engines 3,1,2,4 love the aircraft though approach and landing can be tricky
Whenever I turn on altitude hold, it always dives about a thousand feet before leveling off. I've had an easier time just adjusting the wheel myself to get levelish and not using the gyropilot. Even in dead level, it'll nose over to -1kfpm and then slowly level off.

It looks really nice but the frame rates at around 40fps and below looks very juddery. I'm running this on my GTX1080 on a 2560x1080 wide screen with TrackIR5 at a constant 60fps which looks nice and smooth when I turn my head to pan around. I've had to reduce some of my graphics settings but boosted the looks back up a little bit by playing around with my Nvidia settings and the UsersCfg file like you did but I was happy to have slightly less visual quality vs better smoothness. Have you tried lowering some not so important settings to help increase the fps which might help with the popping ? Maybe try decreasing the loDfactor to 4.00000 vs 5.00000 and lower your shadow settings to help boost fps which might help stop the popping. Anything below 60fps hurts my eyes ! I also noticed you're using RTX3080 but have raytracing turned off
Yes I definitely increased the LOD Factor and kicked ray tracing on. If you check out some of my newer videos it looks much better now!
@@rattlecansam2375 I actually ended up restricting my frame rate to 35fps and then cranked up my gfx settings which worked out a lot better for my card and sim.
I did the same about a month ago! The menu was hitting outrageously high fps, and I think during flight the gpu was spending quite a bit of time "searching" for a higher fps causing some stuttering.
I'm going to reset everything minus the frame rate limiter after todays world update and see how things look.
@@rattlecansam2375 One thing I noticed with this new update is that they introduced two new graphics settings, one of which is called "off screen terrain pre-caching" this setting loads the terrain to the left, right and behind into memory so when you turn your head if using TrackIR5 like I do or look left and right in the sim then the terrain is already cached which illuminated any stuttering. I turned that setting up to ULTRA which worked very good for me. The new update gets better frame rates but they removed some of the in sim challenges and activities I think which was annoying because I hadn't completed them all.
