MCDS OR CFA CHICKEN SANDWICH?! - MY 1ST TH-cam VIDEO
I'm 38 and in the same boat rethinking my life path, so happy to know I'm not alone. Thanks!
You woke up to the being in the matrix. It can be pretty sobering. I feel lucky I woke up in my teens and spent my formative years in the deserts of Mexico then re emerged to follow my passions for past 30 years. Anybody can do that America is the land of opportunity. The only one limiting oneself is oneself. Great math lesson you have given! It’s the same one I contemplated decades ago. I have been a math professor for 30 years. Best job in the world - for me. Every second is a blessing. The issue we have to deal with - after contemplating all deep issues you present - is we are TRAPPED in this massive human zoo - and they key is to how to navigate this zoo we are all caged in by optimizing all the things you determine to maximize your happiness - it is a math problem I meditate on every day and have been for decades. Good luck to you bro!❤❤❤
Im thinking of leaving my high paid tech job of 25 years. I live a minimalist lifestyle and time is worth more than money and stress. I feel empty and get zero fulfillment from it.
So many people in this world work for themselves and never want kids and a family. Neither is right or wrong.
This shit is crazy funny, how does this not get millions of views?? Going to keep watching since I’m new and only saw 2 videos
appreciate you! ty
WTF is this - complete waste of my time. So, much drama. my goodness.
@@tulisanes life is drama
It's a symptom of western navel gazing and self-importance. Completely unattached to how much of a struggle life is for everyone else on the planet. And I'm a 1st gen immigrant.
there are times when markets are good and a lot of dumb money floating around , creating a lot of fun experimental jobs. Currently market is terrible and creative positions are starring at the barrel of unemployment You're 35 then you have just witnessed an entire economic cycle from Obama printing money through QE , to the back-to-back investment hypes , to everything crashing. If you're doing well with savings , it might not be a bad idea to wait for more favorable times. You might have the later stage of your career doing more fun job with a nice portfolio to fall back on, just don't burn them all on some stupid business ideas I have been doing creative works in video games out of college . It was fun and exciting when the market was great but now everyone is scared of being laid-off. I have quite a long runway from being frugal but having a massive pile of cash in this economy probably open more door for me
There's this youtuber called Lit Nomad who peaced out with 4 mill in saving . It's not fun in social media age to see everyone making crazy money doing fun stuffs . But there are builds that shine in the late game ( in video game term )
The privileged of a high paying corporate job requires a lot of suffering from parents and yourself spending your best time in life from teen, there might be something to Asian men being represented a lot in that group. I did well enough in highschool with all the extra curriculums, I could have taken engineering or something in my 20s but I couldn't take it anymore lol. But I'm currently trying to balance between learning creative and technical skill so I have some stability because I don't want to deal with economic hardship lol
What you describe as your body breaking down, is what Abraham-Hicks refers to as "don't worry, it'll get bigger". Meaning if the emotional tension doesnt get your attention enough to cause you to make needed changes, you will manifest bigger problems, until the problem/symptom is big enough to truly get your attention and force the change you need. Sometimes that thing is cancer or a terminal diagnosis. That rarely fails to garner your attention!! So no problem, the universe will try to get your attention and if it fails, it'll get bigger! Its a harsh but loving setup that serves us, ultimately. Better to learn how to feel/recognize/spot the issue early, and nip it in the bud. But if you dont, its ok, because it'll get bigger! Your story is a textbook example of this dynamic. But Abraham-Hicks also teaches that nothing is irreversible!
LOL this is great!
Left my cybersecurity engineering position, and started another job in on the security and innovation team. I would say it's better because no more on-call, but I noticed real quick that every position has its pros and cons. I didn't enjoy being an engineer cause I was constantly called because I was specializing in a particular tool, even though we had an on-call rotation for it. The cyber innovation position is more dealing with management and other teams, and that can be a pain because people don't always want to cooperate. Pick your poison.
Go to Japan and Thailand. Travel
@@HisokaTheClown916 just came back from there actually lol
Go retire in Thailand
Bro you obviously lived the circumstances & expectations you were given. It wasnt wrong, its just that when we achieve what we set to do from the past.. Our body senses a deep craving for rest. It was saying, ok, now that we got here, lets rest please. Thats when i realized you don't need goals, just do what needs to be done everyday, be grateful and live life one at a time. Remember the longer you took to achieve the goal, the longer the craving for rest once its achieved.
Eres una hermosa persona. Desde el otro lado del mundo, en otro idioma, viviendo lo contrario literalmente. También quiero una nueva vida. Y deseo lo mejor en la tuya. Ríe más. Se feliz .
Said the guy who was making $230k/year. You know what would snap you out of it? Not having money and needing a job to stay alive.
@@JamesJones-nj3pf you’re 100% correct. I mention my privilege so this shouldn’t be a surprise. Perspective is everything.
I’m glad I found your video. I need to hear this and I can relate to this. I’m going through this right now.
What was your job?
you can try strip everything out and start fresh with minimum wage for a year, probably as janitor, and fight for your life. Probably you can be happy then.
Well said! He hasn’t experienced the life just like his parents went through.
Please tell me you’re not single Bro plz!!!!
I respect that Sek, I think that is a good way to break out of the self restrain of judgement from our external environment. It should benefit us to be less anxious about our own self image and to be more open to our expression. Especially since we're not trying to harm anyone or ourselves in anyways.
Hi how are you doing ☺️ ❤❤
Just curious, would your life be much different if your parents hadn't migrated? Or would you be working even more hours for less?
I hope you are doing well and don't be too hard on yourself......
Hi I think you are speaking for almost all of us or most of us me for one I feel the same way you do depressed and hate my life and job
This resonated on so many levels brother. I hope your well and just know that this video is saved for me to review anytime I need to center myself.
I think part of it is we all put so much pressure on ourselves. I’m living the same struggle now. Im sales making 200k plus but I could get fired at any monument. Constantly stressed.Trying to figure out what my next step is. It’s hard out here man. Need to stop putting this pressure on myself. And just live my life on my terms
Sometimes ya just gotta shake it out & walk it off.
I have the opposite problem . I’ve lived the heck out of life, so now I struggle in my 40’s. 😂.
I don't think a college degree is worthless even if you don't do work not related to your major. It is all about personal development.
I’m 37 and totally feeling the same. I have the same thoughts almost everyday. Looking for purpose that justifies my existence. I’m lucky to have my partner, family, friends, and health. But I still find myself struggling. My workplace and commute is soul sucking. Some days are better than others. I’m trying my best to redirect my energy into my side projects whenever I can in hopes something takes off. It’s a rough journey right now but I’m hopeful. Thanks for posting this video.
I went from a networth of 20 million dollars to literal 0. In my 20s i was savage in business, i then got on drugs and start making a series of bad mistakes. Im 38 now with a kid on the way , i went from 3 million a year to 100k a year, but i got to experience alot and im ok with that 😊❤ Money isnt everything.
I'm 50 and have had almost the same thoughts throughout my adult life until 2009. My father passed away. I lost all income due to the crash in the mortgage industry which impacted my industry. I went to law school. I contemplated seminary but ultimately decided that wasn't my calling, although my life is given to Christ for his purpose. I live with the gifts God has generously bestowed upon me to please him. I do what my heart tells me I should do with my talents, time, finances, and opportunities. I am on this journey humbly at the will of my father. To Christ be the glory.
i quit my corporate job 2 months ago and started doing my own investments and making my own money. It was the best decisions i've made.
Bro!! This is heartbreaking. They need a class in goal setting in these college. We all need purpose and direction. I wish you all the best.
This was hilarious and very well done! 😂
Bro’s reborn as a theater kid 😎 welcome
after 5 minutes I have no idea what you are talking about? what did you major in?
what did you study?
at least you ended up with a lot of dough
So, you are 35 . Starting over? Some may say this is too dramatic. I would say hell yeah, wake the hell up before you 50.
I did corporate at Deutsche Bank for like 4 years and had a blast. I had just graduated with a Forensic degree and a corporate job through a friend came about so i took it. I was supposed to be there for only a month and stayed for almost 4 years. I was lucky and it was awesome and fun and i made good money. I don't know what the problem is. Either get another job if you hate it or make a ton of money and enjoy it or save up a ton of money and quit. I think narrator must've really hate this job. Money does provide a form of freedom. Financial freedom But bottomline: If you hate a job that much, you need to find another. No money = No freedom
I started over at 33. I am now 38. Today I can tell you that I am beyond blessed to be where I’m at today. However if you asked me 6 months ago how I felt about my life outlook I would have told you things look pretty grim with nearly no hope. Only Jesus Christ can fill that void that you keep trying to fill with other things like “a job you’re passionate about”. He will make things happen for you but he has to come FIRST over EVERYTHING. Only then will you find what you’re seeking. Thank you Jesus! You put me in a position to be able to not only support myself, but to support my family.
That is the problem when you grew up in a developed country!
Good part is we have 5 years down road. At least things are going downhill. Did you know? Indian rupuah curreny will overtake in 10 more years?. And what it means? In year 2035 it will overtake other country currency, in 2030 it will be some of the top in-middle country currency. It shows end of time is going near
You're 35. Stop whining. Move on. Find a new job. Your life is ahead of you. Live it.
if you're making 230k a year for a decent period of time and you paid off a house then you are not starting over. and if you didn't while making that money you are an idiot.
if you are making that much money you can bet management has you on their radar.
U had a high-paying job. Health is wealth. Therefore, now even if have less materially, life is more relaxed, n u no longer have to prove anything to others.
😂😂😂😂😂 Brought tears to my eyes
Have children and you’ll stay in your profession for much longer than you may care. I could tell you things get better as the years go by, but that depends on the individual experience. And I hear you 100%. My youth was spent on marriage, children, family and friends, and my job took most of my time. My thoughts were I had to work somewhere. Best to you.
You explained me always feeling trapped never being able to Iive at work and the weekend, never getting time to do my stuff.
