Nice review. It looked like a light meal and without any spreads I'd figure you'd have to put the stew onto the cracker. Looking forward to the next menu.

Very basic in design and looked light in calories for active service men and women?..... Bisli - Falfal Snap To Go - tuna olive oile Elite > caffe elite Nescafe (prefer drink it with a little of any milk) Sababa - amreican peanuts Elite> Pesekzman timeout in enlgish Halva you already know anyway alot of kind of regular student food XD

With the benefit of 20/20 hindsight (or if you're familiar with this ration), the thing to do is put that dry rice dish in with the beef soupy one. For a great hearty meal that is not dry and not watery.

pretty decent MRE except those silly lentiles. It's a birds food not a snack for normal man. As a Latvian I am totally disgusted about this stupid add-on. There are many traditional Latvian snacks which would be much more tasty and efficient than these lentiles.

Back in the 80's, the rations included 3 types of drink available - coffee, tea & Tang's orange juice powder. The pineapple jam's packet still have the same design.

If I recall the mains are made by LYO a Polish freeze dried company who make camping foods.

This is in a way a funny video - comparing soup with peas with pea soup. The Polish one clearly is in the first category, the Swedish is more to the latter, and the Finnish is in that one. Pea soup is, by the way, not a military thing in Finland. It is something we all eat when we are children, in school, and at work also - usually then having crrepes with whipped cream and strawberry jam as a dessert. That is also normal during our military service.

Hello my friend. I hope all are well. This is Rare, indeed sir. Very nice. The mains are reminiscent of other European rations, Kasha, Etc., just probably taste slightly different? The tea is also different than we are accustomed to. Shame on weak fork and spoon. Many have them these days, as you well know. Beef liver pate, first time I have heard of ? I've always loved seeing other nations MREs. Still wish I had a French 24hour and an Australian 24 hour. Those look awesome.

since I ythis ration seems to be beef based it makes me wonder if it was done to meet the needs of Muslims or Jews who dont eat pork

Very nicely deserved friend!!!!!!!!!!!!! Both friends are class act people. Respect for them, and, you, always!! I am glad, customs did not raid! Maple syrup does wonders in any meal. Refrigerate, or freeze in ice cubes, lasts A long time. Do not pick on Michaels packaging, LOL. We all know how you pack yours. Probably explains why customs do not attack, LOL. Hi Delicious...I'm glad Customs released the package unopened. When I saw it was held for a couple of days I was worried they would open it and ruin the 24H ration? but glad to see they didn't. The Bacon grill and Garibaldi biscuits were part of the British rations when I was serving back in the 80's / 90's (and some of my favourite components). The 24h cold weather ration has only been available for the last couple of weeks. It is a civilian ration being tried by one of my favourite ration suppliers here in the UK (MREmpire) and looks to be a comprehensive pack with lots of components. Looking forward to seeing what you think of them....ATB...Mick
