Thank you for doing this video. I am a self-published author and started my own (tiny) publishing company, and am looking to make a career change that is more involved with writing and publishing. I started reading "How to be a literary agent" which seems to be informative but also very out-dated. I wanted something more current that kind of introduces the idea of literary agency as something I can do for myself and my own books, as well as to potentially use this as a career for the later years of my life. I learned so much from this and am more inspired to pursue and learn more about this field. Thank you so much!

Way out in left field idea. *Take* those cut prologues, and some of your favourite scenes that also got axed: stitch 'em into your private copy of the final book, & a few weeks after the acceptable version is released, put your extended version out on a website for a few dollars as the book equivalent of "the director's cut"! Send a teaser for it to every reader who drops an email on the book's main page. (If your publisher agreement allows such daring override moves, of course.)
