All good things come to an end - JAMUARY (day 31)
The journey, the result and the valuable knowledge gained have all been worth it. I dont have as much time as i used too, and despite my more grand plans for a final day i am happy with the result of not only the final day, but also of this project as a whole. I have developed a better sound over the last month, and really had fun making music that personally is actually starting to sound half decent, and my dream of making music is finally starting to be realised. thank you for listening, watching, and supporting.

Nice
so glad this came up in my feed! your improvement in production quality in a year is unreal and I really respect your dedication- keep up the great work!
Oh my god I love this, combining two sounds which I like a lot in a way that blends them together very nicely; I feel like if you spent more time expanding on it and recorded some parts with actual instruments this would sound so cool :3
why is this giving paper Mario vibes even though ive never played it lmao
what
Btw the spiraling delays at the start were intentional, I thought it would be cool to have a kinda demo style intro
You might realise that there's a lot of the same bass audio audio clip ...(and that the verse audio clip is a bit out of time!), that was really just because i didn't have a lot of time to make a part, learn it, and play it constantly for 1 and a half minutes, so I did keep the best take and loop it for the most part just so i had time to make the rest of the song If i had more time i would definitely play the whole jam live, and I'll aim to do that next time, but i gotta say, its really cool being able to use a real bass to make my own songs finally
this is funky frfr
Thank you 🙏🙏
i think theres a name for this like genre switch or smt. really nice work! i love the transition between the sections - its so seamless
interesting, i dont think i've heard of it before thanks for the feedback!
@@thelittleowl55 :))
I think for the chorus I could have done some more balancing with panning and mixing to give a more full sound, and also worked more on some piano velocities and general mixing if i had more time, but I really enjoyed making this in the 2 hours that I did
Hope the algorithms bless us soon, keep composing if you love it!
Just a note after making this (in about 1 hour): I think I missed fixing some of the velocities in the lead/arp in the second section, so it sounds a bit louder randomly (sorry about that)
listened to this as i watched a millipede walk down my wall. the vibe was fitting.
I can see that vibe fitting pretty well lol
this sounds really nice

IT DOESN'T SOUND LIKE THIS FOR ME! AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG?!?! 😭😭😭😭
Its possible its to do with built in instrument plugins: In this i use free "museHub" plugins (that are just a free extention of musescore's basic soundfonts) which I'm pretty sure you can download directly with musescore, but if not, they are free plugins part of an app found on musescore's website. The soundfonts found in musehub are basically just free addons that are compatable with musescore 4 (and made by musescore) and you just have to apply them in the mixer. I hope this helps in finding the right sounds, If its not to do this with this I'm not to sure sorry, and if you have any further questions I'm happy to help
Thanks for the demo!
Nice song. I think some elements like the drums and main lead needs a bit of reverb, but it sounds great!
@@arwans1267 thanks for the comment! It always bothers me that the leads are too prominent, this is such a simple fix that I didn't realise before so thanks for the suggestion. I think maybe it was because I was scared the mix would get too crowded but reverb can make the lead sound softer, so I'll be sure to go back and implement it. Also with the drums I think I was going to add some reverb especially to the snare, but I kinda forgot about it lol.
@@thelittleowl55 well id say just try things while making music. In FL we have a save as new version for a reason. Its to experiment and try things. If you dont like the change, just remove it. Anyway hope to see more songs from you :D
Nice music, I've been enjoying your pieces! Keep up the good work!
Heyo I’m a fellow MuseScore user that began making compositions and arrangements around a couple months ago. My clarinet midi used to sound really smooth and elegant and then it turned into a really digital sound out of nowhere one day, has this happened to you as well?
Hmm, the only thing I could think of is that it's switched from a MUSE SOUNDS clarinet to default robot clarinet somehow. Have you used muse sounds in the past? If the issue isn't to do with muse sounds not working than I'm not really too sure, I would recommend making sure musescore is up to date and maybe post on the musescore help website if this doesn't work. Hope this helps
I think this is a very rare time, where I might have overdone the base at 4:04 and beyond (from a mixing standpoint).... HOWEVER, it would sound really cool on a big speaker....
ayeee so glad to see you back! sci-fi is absolutely your thing- I love how expansive and sparkly this is, you can really feel like you're just floating away out there
Thank you (:
just listened to this while i did some homework. it's so beautiful! i love the melody and the sound selection!
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it
nice
Wonderful
Thank you!
woah I love the atmosphere you've created, it's so magical! Also happy to see you hopping onboard the Musescore train :)
Thank you! I may haven't used it in a while, but I won't forget musescore! It's still really fun and offers things that software like Ableton doesn't do for orchestral so I still use it occasionally... Even if I haven't uploaded a musescore video in a very long time before this lol.
I cut it pretty fine but still did manage to upload in february! hope you enjoyed, as from the title these sections are just snippets so they arent really weaved together (in case they sound a bit odd together). AND also I'm not a professional so im just experiementing to see what sounds good, so it may be a bit rough in a few places. ALSO I do have other things I might upload so yeahh.. haven't run out of content yet
Amazing!
Omg soo good
Ayeeee congratulations! You've done so much fantastic work this month, your commitment is admirable and this final piece sounds great ♥ Also thank you for the shoutout at the end :)
ayeee one more day to go, you've got this!
sorry if this sounds very "raw", I made it in 30 minutes lol. The Interesting thing is that I was going to make a different thing entirely but the chord progression I made inspired me to try chop in up a bit more intead of just having it go for the full time. Also the drum section was something that also wasn't intended, I just accidentally played it back before I slowed down the high hats and it ssounded good. So moral of the story is that I found a completly new "style" which i never did before unintentionally (not much of a moral but it's implied I guess...)
I know this is gloomy but it's also pretty chill, can picture this on a lofi playlist :)
Wow, this is awesome, sounds like something which could be in blade runner (minus the drums). Great job.
Thanks! I appreciate it
Being a bit creative, I sampled day 26 into a precussion instrument (by adding a vocoder and reversing the clip w/ a few other things) to give the beat some "shuffle" and character Edit: also listening back to this it could do with a lot more mixing lol
This is so good! I love the harmonies. They go great with the textures and beat.
Woah I really love the ambience you've created here! Could be part of a video game soundtrack for sure :)
thanks!
