      It will say ICE when you change the water because the water is so far below set temp. As the temp rises the ICE notification will go away.

    Is it normal that all debris go back in water while i turn the filters and remove them?

    • @arctichomeliving3785
      @arctichomeliving3785 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Do you have a mesh filter bag attached to the filter shield? That will typically catch the larger debris. If you filters are full of debris it would be best to remove them in order to replace them of clean them. Remember that a filters job is to remove items from the water so if the filter is full it cannot remove anything else from the water

    • @tarikhelo4269

       I mean while turning them all the debris floats back on water! It doesnt stay on the filter ! So once I remove my filters they are clean and empty of debris since they all went back in while

      @@tarikhelo4269 The filters may appear clean but based on what you are describing you could employee a skimmer net to grab what is coming off the filters while you are pulling them out so at least the debris is being removed. You also may want to use a jet line cleaner or system flush on your next water change as you may have build up in the lines

    Inside the tube that the pleated filter goes on, with the nut you loosen to remove the filters, there was a gray thick washer like thing with a 1/2 inch hole in it. Is that supposed to be in there or did someone mistakenly put it in there?

    • @arctichomeliving3785

    • @arctichomeliving3785
      @arctichomeliving3785 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the late reply. The piece that the nut is threaded onto has most likely been threaded out to far. The larger round piece that the nut is threaded on can also be unscrewed from the hole. Try threading that piece back in further which could help with your challenge with the filter nut

    On the menu, the default setting for the primary filter is 8 hours; should it be changed to 24 hours?

    • @terrydonovan4929
      @terrydonovan4929 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have found the the best amount of time to filter the J300 series, that has the CLEARRAY UV system installed, is 12-14 hours a day. This time will allow the chlorine you are adding to have more time to do its thing. We have found that adding your weekly chlorine outside of the primary filter duration gives the best results.

    • @75marlar
      @75marlar 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@terrydonovan4929 So, I must use a different regimen that my spa store recommended and seems to be working very well. I have a 3 year old J 375. I do not use chlorine. I use bromine in a floater. Once a week I bring a water sample to my store and they do a computer analysis and tell me what chemicals I need to add. In addition to that, weekly I add 1 to 1/2 ounces of oxidizer and 2 ounces of metal and scale control. In addition, I use 6 ounces of Hot Tub Serum. Within the past week, based upon the recommendation of another store, I changed the primary filter from 8 hours to 24 hours. I will see if that has any effect.

    • @terrydonovan4929
      @terrydonovan4929 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@75marlar Sounds like we have some different schools of thought on the spa maintenance. I don't want to mess with something that is working so it might be a good idea to ask you local store what duration they suggest.

      @@terrydonovan4929 Just curious, what procedure do you recommend?

    • @terrydonovan4929
      @terrydonovan4929 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@75marlar I am not a fan of the floater or bromine but that is just me. Bromine is harsh on plastics and does not break down leaving a residue on the jet backs and seals. I have CLEARRAY UV and CLEARZONE Ozone on my Jacuzzi J445 so all I do is use granular chlorine once or twice a week as my sanitizer. No need to hold a level of sanitizer with my system. Again each dealership suggest when they think will give the customers the best hot tub experience so I am not knocking anyone else's plan

    • @terrydonovan7447
      @terrydonovan7447 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      These filters come suggested by the manufacturer. The filters you are talking about are for the 880 series which have an inner micro filter and a pleated outer filter. The inner/outer set up is not suggested for the 780 series because of how the circulation/filter pump pulls the water through the filters.
