Do you have any GI Joe Comics you are looking to get rid of that might already be sorted?
Looks like Alice had a blast!
Happy birthday, happy baby!
Chuck Rozanski is awesome, but this guy sounds like a jerk.
Happy Birthday, Lucas!
If ever a person needed a self-storage place.
Popular Comics featured strips syndicated by The Chicago Tribune ; Apple Mary would later be renamed Mary Worth which is recognized as a leading soap opera strip , Harold Teen was the model on which Archie was styled after with Harold subtlety included amongst the Riverdale gang by way of Reggie ( Archie's " Rival") whose resemblance to Harold is interesting. Being a comic strip fan since the age of 5 the history and discovery of features is always enjoyable. I not only appreciate the regular 4 panel dailies and their Sunday pages but the single panel , two panel and large panel strips ( such as A Dog's Life and School Days by Frank Beck who later did a strip called Bo the dog). In your Captain Marvel episode of 2 years ago ( which lead me to this recent episode) I would also add that the good Captain has the distinction of being the only superhero who has a movie about him that isn't directly about him : The Good Humor Man (1950) starring Jack Carson is filled with Captain Marvel references and material. The film was written by Frank Tashlin a former animator who would also later direct a comic book film dealing with the precode horror controversy: Artists and Models (1957) starring Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. At the center of the controversy in the film is the sci-fi / horror super heroine The Bat Lady ; an obvious reference to Batman which ironically enough was Dean Martin's favorite comic book character. Dean was an avid comic book reader according to Jerry Lewis who would upon Dean's request go out wherever they were appearing on tour and buy Dean a haul of comic books.
I want some of those indie boxes!!!
I blame the current owner Namdar for neglecting the mall. Do yourself a favor and go to Westfarms instead for a much better shopping experience.
You attached to Groton sub base?lol
That was incredible
I have 3,600 boxes.Mine is bigger than yours!
Peudo dealer dumping garbage
If you read what you collect, then the spending would be worth it whether it is 1 dollar or 100dollar
God I would love to read that lot.. wow
To be honest..that looks like a huge nightmare. Too many books to go through and knowing that there’s probably thousands of books that’s worth a thousand or more just sitting.
alf 48 is one of the only comics i have still from my childhood haha....u want it?
I want to come dig sooooo bad haha
Mike Grell's Jon Sable getting no love :( 6:46
Enjoyed your video. Never knew this story existed. 👍
The first story entitled "The Death of Superman" was in Action Comics #225 February 1957. @Deadman1957TEB
Nice catch. I’ll have to find that one some day!
@@funnybookfamily Also Superman #118 Jan 1958, I believe there is another before the one you mentioned, I can't find it in my scripts for my channel at the moment! Sorry outrageous plug!
The ending was funny. Fun video. 😀
C'mon... did Wrecking Ball win or what? And what about the tag match?
Guys workin' their butts off in the ring for mostly dead "crowd", if you can call it that.
I remember as a kid in the 80’s and 90’s in the food court you could see the big clock tower sway.
Cool collection and thanks for sharing. How much are you thinking of selling the first Kraven for? You can Dm me personally if you would rather talk that way
I remember when I took Alice to the Alice shop when she was little❤
The Buffalo Wild Wings there is still somehow open!
The 1980s contained many malls but now many buy things online. Brick and mortar places are not nearly as popular as they used to be.
Oh, one more comment. I am a fan of the JBS Barber shop. I was going literally to that location until recently and now I’m back visiting my hairstylist to get my haircut at their Bank Street newLondon location. Please support Jbs Barbara Spa, They are a great place!
Wow, this is cool. I remember being at that mall when it first opened (1984) and for period of time 1989 to 1994 I lived sort of uphill from this mall near Cohanzie fire dept. in Waterford not that far from the mall. I remember early in its history they were having problems with the elevators, and there was a problem with security incidents (females being assaulted) outside the mall at night. Even though I have lived in the state of Rhode Island now for 27 years now I still visit the crystal mall periodically. I love it (or at least the memory of what it was). 🥲
Thats heart breaking. Mall shopping was an adventure, today its just waiting for the UPS guy.
AH! I remember when the mall first opened.. and when we worked at a friend's kiosk for Christmas... and so many other memories of this mall. My biggest question is, what are they going to do with the chandelier from Waterford, Ireland? Great video. Thanks for sharing.
It hits different when it's the one you grew up with. That's just jaw on floor stunning.
A majority of people have never read a comic book.
What would you recommend for his first?
I have about forty short boxes and I was getting mad at myself. This just shows that my collection is tiny - thanks for making me feel better about myself! :)
I use lateral file cabinets and CLZ too. The cabinets are great. Much better than long boxes
I just love returning to your video just to look at the boxes. Just organizing would be euphoric.
Crazy
What would you recommend for his first?
What a journey lol. Thank you for documenting it, it was fun to watch. The buyer delaying for a week was a huge blessing in the end.
😮😮 static.. again !!?? Everywhere ive looked lately this "static" keeps showing up !!
Like you said in your introduction, you should get stands, have them at angles so you fit 5 books a shelf and bring them nearer the front, also you could go down the route of some figurines/busts of the characters that match the books, it would look more alive! Saying that they are lovely books! Also clear backing boards inside top loaders look so much cleaner! Just my thoughts, but you did ask!
get a book standee so the comics wont lean on the glass. your display case looks so empty ,there'stoo much space.
Nice collection!
Thanks for sharing this, truly excellent content!
Fantastic vid!!! Thanks a lot!
Great video, appreciate you sharing it!
Thanks a ton, this was super helpful!
Can't wait to start my collection
Great show guys, thank you
