Relaxing resin crafting and hopefully some helpful tips & tricks.
---
Hello - I'm Nalla & Goat (she/her) and I'm a U.K. based resin crafter & mold maker.
I'm currently working towards my PhD in engineering and I use resin crafting as a way to keep me sane. I like to make things that are very sparkly, a little witchy, and hopefully something different. I'm also a dungeons and dragons player so you'll see a little bit of that in my work too.
---
I'm trying to upload more frequently but until then if you want to see more of my work then find me on my Instagram: @nalla.and.goat
For business & collaborations then please email me at: nalla.and.goat@gmail.com
or DM me on instagram.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Ocean Resin Chess Set - sand in epoxy resin // Collab with Toonpish Crafts - Relaxing resin tutorial
This video is a collaboration with Wendy from Toonpish Crafts!
P.s. This video is a little late due to some technical issues uploading yesterday - sorry Wendy! 😅
Wendy had the fab idea for each of us to buy the same mould and make a chess set for the other person - and then send it to each other in the post.
In this video I show you how I make the both chess set and pieces. I really wanted to make an ocean themed set because I enjoy the texture of sand in resin. It’s just neat :).
If you want to see how Wendy made her set then check out her channel & video ! She is a very talented and creative artist who is always doing something new with resin. I learn a lot every time I watch!

Resin badges // Anatomical heart mold // Relaxing resin tutorial
มุมมอง 3.2K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Hello - in this video I show you how I made these heart badges (and also a ram skull because I had extra resin). I chose to add the badge pin while the resin was still in the mold because it seemed easier - plus the extra layer of gold resin will secure it in place more than superglue would. No chance of the heart dethatching from the pin! Anyway I hope you enjoy your valentines - treat yoursel...
Inkdrop effect resin coasters // alcohol ink in resin, resin petri dish // Relaxing resin tutorial
มุมมอง 7103 ปีที่แล้ว
Hello! In this video I use alcohol inks in resin to create these inkdrop effect, petri dish style, resin coasters. I did topcoat at the end because: 1- I like the glossy finish a top coat gives 2 - when you add things to a resin (ink, glitter, sparkles etc) it can change how it performs / its flexibility/ curing time / hardness / etc. As I want this resin to keep it's heat-resistant properties ...
Can you put dirt/soil in resin? // Relaxing Resin Tutorial: flowers in resin, soil in resin
มุมมอง 3.6K3 ปีที่แล้ว
I was recently asked: "Can you put dirt in resin?" and so I answered the question by giving it a try myself. tbh I had more trouble with the flowers, the dirt was easy. I hope you find this video both entertaining & useful. If you have any questions about the process then please ask - always happy to chat. Sorry about all the bubbles in this piece - I tried a new resin and I don't like it much ...
Resin Tutorial: Big mold, brushing with mica powder, liquid latex, inking // Start to Finish
มุมมอง 7794 ปีที่แล้ว
Sorry for the audio - I lost it! I've added some soothing music but youtube is processing it - I hope it's up by the time this video goes live! In this video I show you how I made this large resin wall hanging using my latest mold - the humongous fungus! I coloured the mold with mica powder before pouring a dark sparkly resin. I then inked the etchings & added a top coat. Support me to make mor...

Love this video, question: what kind of box was that you used for shipping?? Where can I order some?
fun
What was the beige color substance you dabbed on the back? And why? Please and thank you
If you are not going to talk at least play some music
DOOOOOPE WENDY! Very Nice! Yall are both awesome! I wanna play too
Smooth-On silicone is great for making won’t be such a struggle either I use if for fishing bait molds, I recently started making resin products as well and I hate the premade chess pieces molds 😂 I’m going to try what you did with the chess pieces that’s a time saver. great board too very nice work
Thank you very helpful.! 🙂
Just discovered your channel and I have to say that I love you're non verbal commentary. Very funny and enlightening.
Beautiful chess set, I watched the video of Wendy making your set, I love both sets.
Do you make custom ones . Need one about 3h x 2.5w
Amazing
should have used squeeze bottles that way you use them upside down so sand is always first out and there is less mess , i learned this cooking 300 blinis this week lol same principle trust me.
That looks sweet.
So beautiful ❤❤
Omg. The video drove me crazy with all the sounds. It was like someone scratching on a chalkboard. I had to stop watching. Next time add music.
Just saw this on Toonpish channel. Interesting how you both interpreted this so differently. 👍❤️😁
Please how do you dry the flowers ?
why won't people talk in tutorials!! Not helpful!!
You can always use a deburring tool for smoothening the edges. Great video by the way. Very relaxing and informative 👍
Absolutely stunning I love it
kalau order bisa ka ? indonesia
Now i know how to make "fake humus" layer for my green roof mockup :). Thanks!
P.S. my crafting space is out of this world messy! How do you do it??😩
This video was super relaxing! And easy to follow! I’ve been wondering how I could apply the vinyl inside my resin pieces for the longest while!
Love this how much resin did you use for the pieces?
How long do you let cure before starting the gold?
I m bit confuse..your art is beautiful or your hand!!!
How did you make the silicone mold?
wooow
Love both videos! Could you tell me what you put the chess pieces on to make the molds? As I saw you didn't use hot glue to stick the cups down?!
So beautiful nice collaboration
Very nice
where did you get the shipping boxes from
amazing inspiration for keepsake pieces.. going to use this idea to make some Christmas presents this year☺ thank you!
Loooove this so much ! It remjnds me of myself. I love pretty flowers and gold flakes but can cuss like a sailor when I need my space lol. it’s all a big mix baby 😂! Thanks for sharing love your creativity!
Where do u get ur silicone
Hi, what vinyl do you use?
This is beautiful! How long do you wait to add the alcohol inks, after pouring resin?
Lmaoooooo it’s so cute! I was expecting a different graphic 😂🤣😂love it
Great vid 😍 if I use holographic vinyl will top coating affect it. Please and thank you sending Cornish love
Thank you for the helpful video. :-)
How bad are the chess pieces mold you ordered?
Just beautiful with the roses and gold.., the statement doesn’t fit the beauty. I will try it with other wording though! ❤️
Very pretty set
Thank you! 🤗
may I know what printer do you use? is it inkjet or laser? And did you use cricket? And which transfer paper do you use?
For this piece I don't use a printer - I use a digital vinyl cutter (cricut explore air 2) to cut out the words in black vinyl. I also used a generic brand transfer paper - bought it from amazon.
how much resin mixture do you use for the checker board
I use about 75g resin for the black sand, 75g resin for the yellow sand, and 200g resin for the blues. I also add 100g resin for the topcoat. So about 450g of resin.
Amazing you can play chess with those fat sausage fingers without knocking pieces over.... 😅😅
That’s not very kind of you
Wow! Both are beautiful! Thank you for sharing! God bless!
Thank you!
That's awesome
Thank you!
You're very welcome
I think if you had audio you would get more subscribers. Some people like to listen while at work or multi-task. Also blind people can not benefit from your videos.
Thank you for you comment. I don’t have talking in the video for a couple of reasons: 1) am a bit shy 🙈 2) I’m a very visual learner and prefer to watch things than be explained things - so I make videos I would watch and benefit from. 3) lots of people seem to like ASMR style videos and I didn’t see anyone else making resin videos in this relaxing-noise style. I have since invested in a better microphone and I think my more recent videos are better than this one. 4) I wanted people to be able to watch the video at 1.5x or 2x speed without having distorted music or squeaky voice. Because it’s visual you can pause if needed as well. I understand that blind or partially sighted people cannot benefit from these videos - but I don’t think resin is a very blind-friendly crafting activity to begin with. As resin crafting involves toxic chemicals, I would suggest a blind or partially sighted person wanting to try resin crafting should have some assistance to avoid spillages and skin contact, and to find and prevent spillages from curing on unwanted surfaces. Especially as gloves are a necessity and may dull tactile sensing - like feeling around for things. - On the flip side though - a deaf or hard of hearing person watching my videos will receive the exact same information as a person without hearing issues. I think if I have more requests for talking on my videos then I may make voiceovers - but so far I’ve had really good feedback. Most people say they enjoy the lack of talking and find the videos relaxing. I’ve had other people say they found it easier to understand the process with only the visuals as it was less to focus on.
