@tonyalvarado6241 thanks a lot! That is the best explanation I’ve seen for this choice! As you said, depends on preference. I totally get your point of baiting and not losing a card on the way. But in my opinion, you should focus on the result if it all resolves, not the possibility of it being ashed. Plus a Harpie in the grave can also be a benefit and you can dodge some other handtraps with it. But thanks a lot once again, love that exchange of ideas and explanations ❤️

In my personal experience i've seen various problems the Harpie deck have since i'm playing with the deck (2006), one of the main troubles the deck have is that depends on normal summon too much to start the main combos with the best starters (Channeler & Perfumer) and that's the point i'm trying to go, if you normal summon Channeler/Perfumer and you get handtraped and activate Cowrie you"ll loose your Harpie and normal summon to avoid the handtrap leaving you with 1 resource less and probably no more actions to do if the opponent manage to negate the next Harpie monster effect you active (if you use Channeler effect in the best chase).

@tonyalvarado6241 true, true. What the Harpies really need is a special summonable Harpie. Something that maybe locks you into summoning wind monsters or something. Just more extenders that don’t rely on controlling a Harpie. And a searcher for hysteric sign of course! 😄

@@ToonDuelists i'm glad that there's someone outhere that understand the main problems the deck have. More extenders, a way to search and add for "Hysteric" cards on the deck to the hand and no relying on normal summon too much will be some answers to make the deck competitive (not meta) and no vulnerable to handtraps and actual playstyle of Yugioh. As you said, all of this posible fixes comes attached to some kind of restriction as limited to summon only WIND monsters, only limited to summon one type of extra deck monsters, etc.

@vaonir9164 first of all, thanks for taking the time and reviewing this video! 😊 As I already explained in various comments here: I just didnt want to build a FTK deck. I never expected this to be such a big topic among Six Sam fans tbh. And a lot of people seem to take this one really personally! 😄 You might be right, that a FTK build wins more duels than this build. On the other hand a FTK build has no grind game whatsoever, so an Ash on your War Lord can be a straight up loose right away. After all, I think having fun is still more important than running the mathematically better deck. I mean in the end no Six Sam deck is played in the current meta anyway 😅 So if you enjoy FTK more - play and enjoy! I just like to have more interactions with my opponents and have more open game states, than running the same combo over and over in every game. But no front, all love ❤️

No you missunderstand me :) I get that you dont want an ftk. I see how this is up to each player to decide. What I was going at here was that the board you built with the specific combo you showed was not as good as it could be. With the same extradeck and pretty much similar main deck you could build a way better board than you did. Also ftk doesnt loose on the grind aspect. You just have to be smart about your deckbuild ;) anyhow I wish you a great one.

@@ToonDuelists Yes, sorry I didn't read the comment before posting my message. I'm actually an insect player when doom dozer was the insect boss monster xD. I learned the combo with each new insect card release (it's easier ^^`). I love the flexibility and number of combo's the insect deck can do 😊

@UMX32 No biggie, it’s all good 😊 doom dozer was and actually is amazing! I’m still keeping my copies and was really thinking about adding it as an extender! I think it’s interesting, that insects don’t care about archetype exclusivity. You can play any insect archetype with one another. It’s the same with dinos.. coincidence? (Weevil and Rex) 🧐😄

@@ToonDuelists I still play it in my deck ^^. after reflection at 6:14 if you send to graveyard beargram and not scale bomber ( i dont realy sure you have enought insect to sommun it after) and summun it you can link 5 Ragnaraika Stag Sovereign, it's giving you another free interrupt because you can select your synchro monster, its can be destroye by monster effect XD

@andrewmcbridemusic I actually never thought about a sidedeck for this one, because I would not play it on a competitive level actually. But sure, Lancea would be a decent option. Just gotta keep in mind, that you can only use it in your opponents turn, because without banishing, this deck does nothing 😅

@ToonDuelists very true. Maybe chaos Hunter could be a decent alternative to Lancea in that case then? Discard Gizmek for cost if you have it in hand.
