You have to stop focusing on sound bites and start focusing on ideas and what the majority of the people in your party want. That's why a brilliant lawyer with decades in public service lost to a man who led four companies to bankruptcy, had to close a "charity" and a "university" for fraud, and who has thirty four felony convictions. The Rupublicans listened to their party and at least had the sense to lie well enough to convince them they were going to get what they wanted. The Democrats couldn't figure out what the majority of their party wanted and instead focused on a few niche issues, hoping they could coast to victory. That's why I'm an independent.

I remember an adage from my corporate days… “don’t be wooed by the perfume of enthusiasm”, and that seems to be tricky trickster in politics. Say words, do something totally self serving, and every time the people lose. This woman is right, they don’t speak for us, they aren’t us. We even send us there, and they quickly become one of them. It never ends.

I served in the Infantry and been on more field problems than 99% of guys who will enter this chat. I have no idea what she’s talking about. “Fix our own stuff”??? What matters to me is that women own their own bodies and continue to be able to own property and have equal employment opportunities and not be forced to stay in abusive controlling relationships aka have the right to divorce and not be trapped barefoot and pregnant like some people seem to want.

Can you give John Deere a call while you're at it so farmers can fix their own equipment and keep supplying food to the masses instead of waiting for days and days for an "authorized" dealer to send someone to severely over charge for a repair that unnecessarily shut down the equipment completely over even the most minor issue that does not effect the usability of that equipment in any way ?
