I tell the story of the transformative experience I had singing Silent Night, pre-Covid, with thousands at the Washington National Cathedral on Christmas Eve and the childhood reverie it evoked: singing Silent Night as a fourth grade choir boy during Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve and confronting the stigma of being an outcast "colored boy."

This poem or hymn expresses my experience of being born into and battling White Supremacy, which I describe as a war. This was my first time playing this organ and I began improvising in the French style while trying to figure it out and experimenting with some of the stops/sounds and keyboard combinations. When I arrive at full tutti, it will blow your socks off. Third biggest organ in DC and it packs a wallop. Listen on good speakers or headphones to get the full effect.
