Servicing a Brand-X Ascend (or PNW Bachelor) Dropper Post
This is a pretty simple procedure as long as you are organised. Here is a video to show how to dismantle, clean, and assemble a brand-x dropper post. It's manufactured by PNW so will be the same for their posts of the same design.

How to Make MTB Trail Signs
มุมมอง 3.4K5 ปีที่แล้ว
DIY Trail Signs Tools required: *Router - You can get one off eBay for as little as £20 *Paint- spray paint is quicker/easier, but you can also hand paint the letters which would probably look better anyway, but be more time consuming *Some wood! Remember, if your trail is not "legal", then probably not a great idea to advertise it to the world. perhaps put the sign a few yards into the trail, ...

Brilliant!
Mine refuses to pull apart
Can I use my Harmon watch as my heart rate monitor?
I just got run over at intersection and recovering to ! Yes get the Bell skidded on my head 10 meters' on back of head got the chin and use it ! Just bought another saved my life ! Recommend highly ! BELL !
Does it work for road tires as well?
Thank you for the video!
Wow. Awesome idea. I went through about 6x 16 gram air canisters and still failed. Will definitely give this a try.
Any joy?
@@dh7314 No bought an Airshot. They did not have cheap pumps available here in Australia with the correct tubing size.
❤
At the beginning you let air out - do you have to put it back in at the end?
Tried the exact same garden sprayer and also tried a regular pump and pumping like i was superban and the beads did not pop. I had to go to the gas station and use their comoressor. Done. Dont waste your time, just do it right.
£10 at home bargains well spent! Worked perfectly first time on both wheels after failing for 40 mins with a track pump!
Genius!!! Great idea
Just found this video. Brilliant.
I dint know if this will work on 40 mm rims
Generous
Priceless, that is classic woodshed technology! TY, the suits will hate you...more please
Thanks for this - fixed a 4 year old Whyte dropper today with the aid of your easy to follow video - it’s been slow/sticking and driving me mad for ages despite regular ‘short services’!! Better than new now 👍👏 Just one odd query - when releasing the air I use a shock pump with a pressure release valve - as the air expelled there was an amount of foam and liquid expelled too - it looked clear like water, not oil , no odour - any idea what this might have been ??
*We love how the fit is adjustable so **Latest.Bike** Helmet will last a long time for my daughter and she loves the color.*
This helped me a lot yesterday, thanks:)
This is brilliant!!
Brilliant. I love a good hack!
Beautiful!
Would this work on escooter tires that are tubeless pneumatic?
Remarkable! A Wilkos 5 litre garden sprayer is £7 versus Airshot or similar @ £50.
Well done sir well done!
Can I like this more than once? I wish I knew this yesterday!
Hi, do you need to re pressure the tank and if so how do you do that. Im taking mine apart as its stuck in the up position. Thanks
This isnt working for me
Great video, never serviced a dropper before but this was a huge help
Great tip, thank you very much ! Work pretty well. Saved me a lot of time and money =D
Brilliant. I made a ghetto tubeless inflator from a drinks bottle, but this is so much more elegant.
Very useful thanks.
Good video! I have one question, i don’t get how zwift would know in what resistance the trainer is in. Because you could be in the lightest resistance compared to a heavier one with the same cadence, but obviously the wattage would differ.
zwift determines the resistance when you stop pedaling and the time the wheel free spins to a stop in the setup steps. values like wheel size are faked in setup.
Who are these people doing budget setups for £500?! Cheers for this mate it's legend
Thanks man!
Great video, I have a tranz x is same but I like a video to change oil.
Genius! I wish I found this video 2 days ago. Tried everything and the tyre still wouldn't seat until I found this 👍 cheers
What do you mean that you got the turbo trainer for free? Where? How are we supposed to get one for free so that we can compete you since you said at the end of your video that if we will find any cheaper setup we should let you know??? : ppppppppppp
Brilliant video 😎 You can use the pipe of a tyre weld aerosol puncture can it will screw straight onto the valve 😃
Very helpful
What a great hack. I love these. Absolutely works!
Any way of shortening the height of dropper.i purchased an XL but I'm around 10mm to high on it ? Another top out bumper ? It's down all the way on the frame.im currently looking for a solution as it will take ages to get a shorter brand X dropper.kind regards great video 👍
It looks to me that you could add something on top of or underneath the top out bumpers as he calls them here.
just let the seat hit ya arse then release the lever...
What a genius
Excellent!!
Thank you so much for this. Couldn't get the bead sufficiently in the hook of the rim to get the track pump to deliver enough air. Was about to splash out on an airshot, but saw this. Simple, but genius!! 👏
Perfect video... Thanks 👍 Just serviced mine
Well I've got 27.5 X 2.4 maxxis and I've tryd and tryd that method and no luck whats so ever. Maybe if the tire was already seated then it could work but didn't for me. So bought the airshot. Not saying it doesn't work for some but certainly didn't for me I'm afraid
It works! I’ve used it on a Gravel bike Panaracer, I’ll add this link to my cycle review blog, and pass it onto the guys in the Esssex Gravel bike group on Facebook, they will love this simple solution, thanks for the great video.
Simple and easy to follow. Thanks
how much psi do you put back in the post ?
My post says 280-300psi. You'll need a shock pump that screws on.
