Turn your tire hard right and left . You might want to either get shorter bolts or turn them around . Your travel is up and down but a hard left or right your tire could catch them bolts
@@MRKNOWITALL99.9 hello thanks for the response. No they don’t rub doing great I have2500 miles no problems.
@ awesome
just got a 625 street demon for my 56 cheverolet project. SBC 350 30 over with 480 cam. Thanks.
Very nice job, can’t even tell it’s pvc from the outside. I just can’t get myself to cut into the plastic body. Lol
Not safe, nice try.
@@chrisscott3583 appreciate your reply. We haul our tractor on it too for a few years now with no problems. The point of it is you have to make do with what you have and be safe also.
Looks good, breh. 👍🏾 I’d argue that it’s almost perfect. 🤷🏾♂️ 2023 1000X4 owner here in AZ 🌵. 🫡
I keep a small, thin Rubbermaid container lid behind my seat. When it starts raining, I just cram that lid in between the roll cage bar, and the roof, where the front gutter is. No more wet leg. It works! lol

That's a pretty job. right there. Looks fine.
Thanks. I had no accel. pump fuel output. I put an O-ring behind the fabric seal to get a better seal. it worked. then i did the adjustments you suggested ( after setting timing from 4 btdc to 12*btdc ) . the 4mm adj. Works 90% better. no sputtering or stalling on full throttle accel from idle. Thanks!!
You’re welcome glad I can help.
Thanks. Same carb, same problems.
You’re welcome
So, does it do what you wanted for going down hill? Looks like it should lock the front to aid in slowing and being able to better steer on steep descents? Thanks
So sorry for the late response. Yes it does help going down hills
Nice! I’ve had my Talon just over a week. Perfect timing, I had actually already ordered it anyways. Got it yesterday and got my Black Ops 6k winch yesterday. Will install both probably this weekend. THANKS!
@@MotoFish45 have you watched my TH-cam videos on all that I have done to mine??
@@AJWildhorse some
These are decent carburetors, other than the seemingly stupid design decision to put the screws on the bottom so that you have to remove the carb from the car to change jets. There isn't much info about best jet selection on-line though, so thanks for covering that. I have an AMC 304 and came close to the same conclusion on choice of jets. I'm at 78 primary and 76 secondary. It actually ran fine out of the box but with bad gas mileage and black smoke out the exhaust at WOT. All good since changing jets.
Hi Sir. The three switches you have to the left of the steering wheel. Where did you buy the plate that holds those switches? Thanks for your response.
I found them. Thanks
From Hess racing.com I bought a lot from them.
I apologize I told you wrong. They came from xtc turn signals
Nice work. Looking at doing an extension for my 20' equipment trailer and needed some tested ideas. Thanks for posting.

Where do you purchase the bus bars?
Did the same thing on my 219 Talon but instead I went through the little screen and up the bar and made quite a big difference on the honda filter. No more cleaning for the original filter. What a difference but instead of PVC, I bought a kit on Amazon Canada in aluminum product all black with big thick, rubber clamp.
Do not buy the Honda Talon. I own one. My father owns one. My father had an engine failure due to their shit air filter system and Honda is refusing to warranty the repairs. His rig has 400 miles on it and he has changed the air filter twice already. I have 134 miles on mine and just changed the air filter and it was totally trashed with dirt. So I added the 10-80 pre-filter system to keep dirt out of my air box and was told by the dealer my warranty was now void for the whole machine. I have been a huge fan of Honda for 50 years. Honda can kiss my ass. I will never buy Honda again. FU HONDA!🖕
to much techy stuff in everything these days
Perfect video for what I've been looking for. Thank you
Ok. 3 years have passed since you posted the videos on the Demon Carb. Any other problems? Do you still run the carb? Would you recommend it 3 years later?
Hello. No other troubles has happened. But I have adjusted it as the weather changes. 3 years later has told me that I would recommend a Edelbrock 625 carburetor. It works better for the person that wants to jump in the car and drive it or cruise it. once you tune the edelbrock it’s trouble free. The street demon might win the race but the edelbrock is worry free.
Thank you for responding. Last question. Did the modification to the tube with the weed eater and wire hold up? Or did it break down with the fuel?
@@AztecRipper the tube I replaced is working good.
Thanks again for responding back!!! What TH-cam community is all about in being polite and helping one another out. Nominate you for TH-camr of the year.
Probably pushing that trailer to its max with two 4 seaters on there.
It has 3700lb axels under it and I doubled the frame rails to the same size to one that would haul cars. We haul a tractor with it’s implements for years now and the only trouble we’ve had is one wheel got damaged. We try to keep our loads no more than 5,000lb
Seems like alot of work to how much a trailer costs. I mean hell if you got 2 SXS what's a 4000-5000 trailer? And trailers are like sheds ! Always get bigger than you think you'll need. I got a nice new trailer and upgraded to LED lights that will haul my jeep and SXS plus a 4 wheeler if turned side ways for 5700$
Thanks for your reply. There a lot of us that can’t up size them or don’t have any where to keep big trailers. I was only able to get a 20’ but I made what I had work.
Thanks. 4mm and the pin is going freely in the hole in the middle ? Top or bottom ? :)
Waste of $ imho the ride is still rough just 1” of height gain not worth it
Going to softer springs to cover up harsh valving is silly to begin with.
I bought for my 2020 talon 1000x very disappointed same ride as before 😢
You may have yours Miss labeled. As far as CFM, I have the exact same one in the whole time. I thought mine was the 625. Turns out it was the 750. 1903 is the part number on the back driver side of the carb
I might have been. I got it tuned up and running really good before I sold the car. If I buy another one it will be a Edelbrock next time they are betting quality and tune easily
Would you say a street demon is worth purchasing? I have a quadrajet but good cores are so hard to come by and parts are getting harder to find im debating picking up a street demon 625 cfm for my c10 pick 350 sbc 216/216 cam used primarily for towing not trying to race no one just want decent fuel economy
I would advise you to get a edelbrock carburetor. They are trouble free
I’m having an issue to where I put the carb top back on after taking it apart, it gas is spraying from near the entry point out of the gasket. Any advice ?
Okay on the one I worked on i run a flat file with 1500 grit sand paper wrapped around it over the top edge of carburetor to see if had low spots. I also done that to give the gasket something to bite on so it wouldn’t slip out. The gasket surface is to slick.

YOu could probably use the same spring clamps motorcycles use for that tube.

What size secondary jets did you install ?
Admire your work and ideas, but why not just buy a longer trailer? Also, will a half ton PU pull this with 2 UTVs pretty well?
Yes a 1/2 pull’s it good. This idea is for someone with budget and don’t haul two side by sides very often. My son-in-law haul’s his small tractor on it to plow gardens and it works great.
Makes sense. Good work. I look forward to learning some simple welding in the future to use around my land.
Do you know what size metering rods come with the street demon 625?im to rich at cruise
I don’t remember but you can pull one out and it should be stamped on it.
@@AJWildhorse thanks, yep out of the box is .060/.052 so im trying .062/.054,read that cruising should be 13.5/part throttle acceleration 12.5
@@whiteboyfromernul yea I thought over 13 was good and close to 15 was to lean.
why should you have to tune and troubleshoot a BRAND NEW $500 CARBURETOR ? Holley needs to take a serious look at the QUALITY CONTROL.
This one I had wasn’t new it had miles on it. But yes your right. It is not like the others on out of the box ready.
Because theres to many variables between engines,no 2 engines are built exactly alike
What size secondarys did you put on? I'm having the same exact issue
I think I put 75 back in but it leaned it out at 5000 should have kept the original in it. I have come to the conclusion that a Edelbrock will run better
@@AJWildhorse I am starting to think the same thing... what about the metering rods?
@@JackSpeed I bought that kit and used out of it. The smallest needle in the factory jet.
@@AJWildhorse thank you
You did a lot of work with a decent idea, but sorry but that's a accident ready to happen. your weight distribution is way out on a 7000lb trailer and pulling with a 1/2 ton truck, let alone all the weight on the tongue. But if your only hauling short distance, great. I make a 7000 mile trip out west ,I couldn't trust that.
Well I thought about the weight distribution before I started, I got total weights of the two side by sides to make sure this was doable before I messed up my trailer, now putting the two units back to back on the trailer balance’s out the load and keeps the tongue weight down also. We travel around 75 to 100 miles at the most with them, we haul a tractor with attachments on it too on Mountan roads and big hills. Now a 7000 mile trip I agree with you go ahead and get 24’ foot equipment trailer.
Thank you, have the same issue on my 355, stumble, tried everything and tech support was of no use.
What width are those tires? Trying to decide how wide I want to go. Going to the same size all the way around.
30-10-14” on 14” wheels. 5/2 offset. Yes I am rotating mine too. It helps
@@AJWildhorse I don’t plan on replacing the wheels. Do you like the width? I am looking at a light truck mud tire. 9.5 wide or 10.5 wide are the options.
@@justinpepper2373 oh yea I kinda wish I got truck tires too. I drive mine on the highway a lot. But you have to be careful about the weight of them also. I think BF good wrench tires makes something nice.
@@AJWildhorse weight in reference to wearing our wheel bearings or drag on power? If I go with the 9.5 they are 41lbs each and the 10.5 are 47lbs each.
@@justinpepper2373 yea wheel bearings. And it does Robb some power too I got a Dyno jet flash for mine and it helped. Stay close to 40lb as you can. Truck tires could have steel belts UTV tires don’t
how are the tires holding up? trying to decide on a 30x10x15 for my 21 non live valve x4. going with the system 3 6+1 in the front and 4+3 in the rear since our state law is sxs have to stay under a certain width. have been exhausting my brain with trying to decide on what tire to get i checked out the carnivores but they only come in a 32. not a lot of feedback on these really looking for something that has some bite but also good road/hard trail manners. i don't want to loose the handling or softer ride but want a little more grip and durability. also with those offsets do you have a recommendation on a rear spacer size? thanks in advanced your talon looks great
Hello BP207. The tires are awesome. I rotated them at 900 miles and I am again around 1500 miles the are barely showing ware. It will climb like a mountain goat.
Also I rode mine on the highway a lot it does great at 60 mile an hour I am running 14psi
I use 1 1/2” spacer’s in the rear. I am glad I got the 5-2 wheels,
@@AJWildhorse do you think the 1.5 would be best I my situation with the stock offsets? I wish I could do 5+2 all around to help with rotations but with the new state laws it would make me over. what do you normally run the psi at on the trail? and any rubbing with the 30? any leaks from the beadlocks? sorry for all the questions but before dropping nearly 2k on wheels and tires really trying to get as much info as possible I really do appreciate it
@@BrandonP207 that’s not a problem. I think the factory rear is a 4+3 you might have to go with those to keep them close to the width. I do like to rotate them because the rear ware’s down quicker than the fronts, my buddies drop there air pressure down to close to 10psi but they pinch tire’s so I keep mine at 14 all the time so can run the highway to a trail then do good off road, and they have never rubbed I think the 30” are perfect for the talon, they don’t bogg it down. No leaks system 3’s are awesome, and I am glad to help any way I can.
My Chevy 350 with a .480 intake and .489 exhaust still seems to be running rich at idol and it’s hard to stay in my shop. My transfer slots are perfect and I’m at 12 degrees btdc at idol which is 780 rpms. Should i try softer springs to pull my metering rods down more or do you think i need to rejet. I know you’re gonna tell me to get an afr meter but at this moment i can’t afford one but i am eventually going to get one. Any advice would really help at this point in time. It gets so bad till my eyes start burning and watering ….can you help me brother? Thanks 🙏.
Yes I will help you all I can. I done this without a AFR gauge for a long time but it does get the motor perfect. Okay so it’s running you out of your garage! And it just idling right? Turn your idle air screws in till it wants to quit running and remember how many turns it was. That just leaned it completely out to a stall condition. And sounds like you are already at a very rich condition. So going in with the idle air screws is the direction you need to go. If you can go to the parts store and pick up a vacuum gauge kit I will help almost as much as a AFR gauge. Because you watch that gauge and adjust the idle air screws at the same time and get the best vacuum reading at idle you can. Now the engine my or might not cough a little when you rev it. If it does turn the idle air screws out a small amount to try to overcome that cough. Using the vacuum gauge and a timing light together will get it running a lot better
@@AJWildhorse Thanks for responding. I will try that and i do have a vacuum gauge and I’ll use that also plus my timing light. I appreciate you. Thanks a million 👍🏻
