มุมมอง 9K4 ปีที่แล้ว
1969 Plymouth GTX Window Trim Removal. Removing the front window trim in order to remove the front window and then Install a new vinyl top on the GTX. It takes a long time to do this project. I also polish the stainless trim in another video. Turns out there is a lot of dirt in the window channel. Large potential for rust when the dirt gets wet. Here is a link to the clip removal tool from Summ...

Dude, get out the shop vac, clean out that stuff.
got my 67 belvedere from a guy who got it as a project for his kids !! they thought they were john force mashed the rear brake line with a hammer destryed a bunch of hi dollar parts burnout marks everywhere destroying all the internal parts of the drums with parts clanging around inside em i asked specifically are the brakes good ? ohh yeah great !! well they werent ! I drove it home hit the brakes the front marker lights would come on ! turn the directoional to go left it works fine go right the right on front works but both the taillights flash like i put 4 ways on ! i pulled everything there is to pull not sure cause ive seen 3 different diagrams for the same car none look like this wiring replaced everything there is to replace literally spent about 3-4000 in parts ! short of all the wires which im replacing next and if i do im reworking everything general motors style cause this really sucks cause its still doing the same thing ! replaced headlight switch brake switch hazzard flasher directional flasher directional switch!!bulbs , sockets , regrounded everything new fuses weither it needed em or not ! ive never in my 30-35 years of restoring and working on cars and custom choppers building everything from street cars to top fuel cars running 3:80s @ 320mph ever seen such horrible electrical issues as mopar creates ! if it was a 70 chevelle id have the whole car rewired up and working by now !
The camp sites are packed in so tightly, you can hear your neighbors fart.
Dont paint gas or Ammeter needles with Model paint! As I did. It will make em HEAVY and act lazy. Use an Orange Highlighter marker. Drop steering column about 1/2 also
Remove dash Pad FIRST by 8 speed nuts Behind the padding. 7/16" deep socket by FEEL. Everything else is easy.
I figured there was something wrong when you had to use a strap to pull the engine over to get the pivot ball to drop in to the frame bracket. I was fortunate enough to have a bunch of spare linkage parts and noticed there is 2 different length pivot balls. I test fitted the short ones 1st, and seemed clearances were proper to drop in to the Super Bee (without using a come along on the motor). Short ball studs are 1 3/4" in length, long ball studs 2" not including threads.
12 seconds into the video I see the driver side window is off track just like mine is, how did you fix that?
It looks and feels safe when there are a lot of campers there.
Site 48
I’m there right now
Beautiful Car I noticed engine was blue it should be orange for 69' depending on how authentic you wanted the car to be .
I wish I knew what my car was exactly. The numbers show roadrunner but it’s definitely not just a roadrunner
My GF caught the biggest trout I have ever seen in my life at that lake. We were on our two man kayak and I had to paddle to keep the fish from breaking the line! Sadly, or maybe fortunately, I was not able to land the fish because my net was way too small. It eventually snapped the leader. It is a very popular lake, but finicky for anglers.
Several things wrong, they provided instructions for a reason.
Just rewatching some of your GTX videos. Hope your liking your car. My charger is running and close to a drive
Thank you I only needed to know where that Y CLIP connected to the moulding went.
Im not sure what Y clip and molding you are talking about?
@@Campbase1 at 3:35 on your video. I realized what that clip was for. Thanks 🙏
Just did a new oem drivers side today. Waiting for the passenger side to be delivered this week. The remotes are better than the entry level/ base because they are shielded a don't get pushed around by kids and car covers, asses and elbows. Good straight forward video! Those marks paint or crayon are assembly line checks to help prove the works been done, and by whom as the car moves down the line. Per the build sheet that stayed with the car as it moves through shift to shift, worker to worker.
Got mine out yesterday in about an hour and a half. A/C box has 2 more firewall nuts. Very heavy, might be full of fossils, rust and water. I will find out today. Nice nest was on the top of it. Good time change the wiper bushings, wiper motor and check the dash wiring. Thank you Campbase.
I camp here its a very nice camp ground with nice beach and fishing dock
looks beautiful. Considering camping there next month. Wondering about how many steps down to you beach? 20... 40... 80??? thank you
Men like you should not be allowed to own a vehicle like this...
3/8 of attack and the attack doesn't work and you've stopped for fuel what the hell dude3/8 of attack and the attack doesn't work and you've stopped for fuel what the hell dude
Nothing wrong with this method, I did mine different. Had the instrument cluster and glove compartment out already so I did it from the under side. Had to take the heater controls loose, the radio was out also. It is a pain but doable with the right combination of extensions, the steering column was in place.
show the creeks
If I had wiring like that I would have a nervous breakdown .. LOL .. Enjoy your videos :)
Think that flat steel piece you found is spring steel and keeps tension on the cam to help it click firmly . However I'm going through the same crap with my dart . My repo cam has those posts on it and my factory one did not. But my factor one was half shattered and laying in the column.
Where did you get that lower blue bezel?
thanks for taking time to make this video. big help
iam sorry but what a waist of money those piston are 250 down the hole and a stock intake and exhaust manifolds etc. nice heads wrong combo
Sorry. For the late reply. You are right. It actually goes pretty good but, im sure it could be faster. Saving those changes for when I go to a roller cam.
Show us the gtx the history of it talk about it you inspire me on my 68 RR
What is the status as of now? 🤔
Sorry for the late reply. Its doing pretty good. Im still knocking out issues on a weekly basis. I dont video much because its time consuming to edit. It has a new vinyl top. And I fixed two oil leaks last week. I think I have the sniper EFI sorted out and I just solved an overheating problem where one fan wasnt working. Email me jeff@campbase.com if you want some recent pics. Also would like to see your car.
@@Campbase1 Very good to hear you still have it and it's coming along. My car will be having an engine swap this winter if all the parts are acquired. Availability has been an issue. I will work on sending you a few pictures via your email. 👍
@@dogdoc1 Cool. I would like to see it.
I know what that box is. It's for your dash speakers
Ok. Thanks for the information.
You were way more in depth than I was! This is a great resource. I am adding to the helpful videos playlist on my channel!
Great video, getting up the courage to do mine now!
Need to so this on my superbee. Worried about messing it up
I have to install the same kit on my Charger and I would like to have seen how you installed the 2 guide halves over the bellhousing ball bracket and pushed the Z bar over it without those 2 halves falling into the Z bar cavity. I installed my ball bracket onto the frame before I put my engine back in the car. It appears that I can then slide the Z bar over that ball bracket on the bellhousing and then onto the ball stud bracket on the frame. I'll attempt to video and post my results. Thank you.
Very nice car . I am also building a 69 gtx . Y2 yellow auto black int . Also a very solid orig car . This thing is looking good and 4spd too 👍
dude, theres casinos there now!
I've got a Diplomat I'm going to be repainting and I want to remove the trim instead of masking it. Last time I tried to remove the trim on a junk car, I bent it up. I've got a bit more patience and experience now, so hopefully I can get it done.
Hello JEFF hi Tony that's very nice 👍🏻 thanks for sharing your time
Thank you very much for your time and taking us along I live near lake skinner and I love to camp their in a ⛺ enjoying the night sky and surroundings of the area 💯👍🏻🤳📺▶️

How did you get the ignition switch out? Is there a special key. It looks like that has to be removed to
Sorry for the late reply. I left the ignition switch alone. I did not take it out. Its on the dash.
I appreciate the upload! Doing my B5 blue 440 68' Roadrunner interior and this was a tremendous help!! Thank you from Iowa!!
Thanks!
Yea.., that’s what a car show should be!
Great Car, Great guy! Thank you Jeff for all the help with my top, headliner and trim. Was a little scary when you never did it before.
Very Cool! I knew I shoulda went, darn it!
That water got in there when you pulled your head. Its from the water jackets .
At 3:46 it seems that you have the nut, washer, and grommet incorrectly installed. Compare it to the pic just above your assembly!
