Loved my gen 2 in 5.56. A friend told me about these and I had to buy one. Zero issues with my 22 so far. No malfunctions of any sort and absolutely my favorite of my collection. All I did was the plastic delete, slap an eotech on it and shes a beautiful, wonderful running machine👍

Bought a gen 2 and liked it so much that I bought a galil ace 22. Liked the galil ace 22 so much I bought a second galil ace 22 to keep mint and all original. I dont understand how dissident arms still hasnt sold out of these

I mean those shells are 50 percent brass so maybe that's why they're getting stuck.

Clean it, there is a protective coating of waxy grease dried into the chamber and on other internal parts.... Break it down clean and lightly oil it.

I think the packaging is a waste of space and if a smaller box would be cheaper the community would rather have it as cheap as possoble.

Was it a hand loaded shell that got stuck? If so that's probably the problem, hot loaded shells are tricky

I have a few of these and yes you do need to use more force on the rack but i havent had problems with them. They're fir home defense because they work reliably and id rather after shooting intruders that the cops seize the cheap gun than a very expensive one. Cops will do all they can to not give your gun back once they have it.

Is NOT the shotgun, it's you. Let me tell you something, my Maverick 88 is PERFECT, I use it in very bad weather, I use it for grizzly bears, and more and more and more, I live in Alaska and my Maverick 88 is my baby, my life saver and it is FLAWLESS.

Do you just shoot it out the box or do you clean it and oil it first in my opinion every new firearm should be cleaned and oiled up before shooting

I had the same exact problem with mine straight out of the box. It’s your shell catch you have to take it out and bend it flatter but not all the way flat you’ll have to play with it a little bit but that’s the problem.

I have one too. Same issues you have. It sucks but atleast I can say I own a galil😂

Those cheap Winchester shells are terrible they jam up in my guns too not the guns its sorry ammo

After 100 rounds in a new gun what did you expect. Polishing the chamber will help because with any gun the carbon build-up will make any gun not to cycle especially when it's new.

Don't feel like there's a reason to shit on you, like many others in the comments.. You've had a bad experience and hopefully you warranty it and remedy the issues, the 88 is a pretty solid shotgun for the price. best of luck!

Yeah, kind of a bummer you’re having problems, I can’t say whether it’s the actual shotgun or the user but I can say this is the first negative review I have ever seen about the Maverick 88,,, all in all it’s been a great performing shotgun. Yeah, you can expect to get a lemon every now and then it happens with all guns,,, with that being said you are definitely misrepresenting the Maverick 88.

Clean the gun first, not sit and play with it

It must be the cheapest Walmart low brass target rounds.Try a different quality brand of high brass shells first,then reevaluate.
