Nice rundown on the machines! I gave the video a like, But I have to say ---stepping on my soapbox---that The Breville video part was awful. A business woman comes home to her much younger boyfriend or husband who looks like he just woke up. He is nervous and insecure when she walks in. Then she stares expectantly, if not angrily, at him while he hopes that he can give her the espresso that she wants. This is degrading for men. I'm so tired of this kind of propaganda which is the usual in commercials now: Stupid, weak and vulnerable men and powerful, strong domineering women. People wold be up in arms if this video had the roles reversed with a man being the dominant one and the woman being scared to mess up on his espresso. Why is it okay to do this to men? And---What message is this giving to our children?

The Presto..hands down. My parents had one for over 40yrs. Now I have one, going on 10yrs. I use a filter. It keeps things clean and super fast to clean. Best coffee maker, in my opinion.

I had the DeLonghi Dinamica Plus but sent it back because the coffee and milk temperature was to low. The temperature measured directly at the milk outlet was on average 53°C. This is significantly lower than the expected 65-75°C that this device should deliver according to De'Longhi’s own specifications. I also checked the coffee outlet and the temperature was on average 80°C, while it should be between 85 and 92°C. This problem has been present from the beginning. De'Longhi did sent an engineer, but he was unable to increase the coffee temperature and highest he could get the milk to was 60° which is still 5° below the minimum threshold. The engineer said this is the best he could achieve and all their machines produced this result. Now you know.

I purchased a white GE CAFE Bellissimo in 2/22. It started to fail in 1/24. On first use discovered the supplied tamper is too small for the portafilter (58.5 is needed) which makes tamping difficult-replaced with 58.5 adjustable tamper and Nomacore screen. When grinding grounds spill - better buy dosing cup to grind into. Once dialed in via the convenient phone app it made a decent shot of expresso and milk drinks - after waiting for single boiler to re-heat for steaming milk- but then… Within a few weeks the gray ink /paint surface printing wore off the frequently used buttons. When first cleaning discovered the wrong type of cleaning tablets - which would not dissolve - were provided. At around the one year mark the nice copper finish on the portafilter started to show signs of wear on the portafilter handle. After two years it nearly gone. At the two year mark, with cleaning per the alert cycles every 70 liters, water started to drip from the grinder area when pulling a shot. Thinking it might be the grouphead / portafilter seal which is user replaceable on similar Breville machines I checked the GE Parts site but it is not listed or available per CAFE phone support which recommended replacing the entire machine! Now at 2-3/4 years water continues to drip with loss of pressure from grinder area and now from the steam wand seeming to indicated failure of seal in the water - brew - steam valve so it is soon headed for the landfill. The takeaway? This was not unexpected based on research I did of under $1000 semi-automatic machine. They all seem to fail in similar ways after 2-3 years of daily use. At the $530 price I paid and using it for 2 coffees per day for 2.75 years (1000 shots) the cost per shot is 53 cents. Would I buy it again? Current pricing has dropped to $430 so its tempting vs spending $1,000 - $2000 for a replacement which isn’t going to last any longer. Better I think to buy two at that price and put one on the shelf as replacement in 2-3 years. 😂

Don’t use filters. Better to invest in a relatively inexpensive grinder like the Baratza Encore. Percolators are designed to use coarse ground coffee not ground coffee like you use in a drip machine. Or, some stores have a grinder where you buy the beans. It only takes a minute to grind the beans on a coarse setting and doesn’t cost anything.

I love my farberware stove top percolator! I have had it for12 years and is still like new and makes great coffee! It takes 12-15 from pouring water into to the pot, to finished cup and ready to enjoy. I highly recommend it! I had an electric percolator and only lasted 8 months and stopped working so I switched to stove top. I have gas stove but have used on it electric stove top and still my farberware stove top works great!
