In 1970, my first Norton was a red '69 Commando 'S', that color looks so close, what a joy that bike was back in that day. Frankly it was the fastest thing on the road and the first stock motorcycle to do the quarter mile in the 12s in the motorcycle magazine road tests, of course things changed rapidly during those great '70s...Very nice bike.

It was badged as a Triumph X-75 Hurricane because when it was marketed in 1973 BSA no longer existed. But it is in fact a BSA.

No Harley, no BMW, no Triumph Thruxton... Not sure about in Norton... You got it over all of all the others for what it is, pure and delicious motorcycle experience. Find a Countrysides! Get it tuned the way you love it and a little jar of silver paint!

Oil in frame of necessity raised the saddle height which many didn't like. I didn't, or when the shifter was placed on the left side of the bike. Still love Triumphs, have a T-100 today. Must be something wrong with it though,,, it hasn't leaked a drop of oil!
