    Its a pain and a gift at the same time i am diagnosed with it but believe me the perfection i can achieve or find faults in others people work make it a gift but the repetitive tasks like handwashing checking doors tightening the screws till the point they break and horrifying thoughts which i can’t explain is the real pain

    My ocd is very similar to yours like when I leave a room with a lock I would make sure the lock is perfectly straight upwards so sometimes I’m there for 10 minutes trying to make it perfect and another anoying one is also yours is where the thing have to have a click sound when you close a door or feel something until you touch it right 😢❤

    I have not been diagnosed with OCD, but whenever I’m in the car I have this intrusive ahh thought that I’m going to open the car door when we’re on the highway, knowing damm well it’s locked. And also when I’m going to shower I lock the door, and I have to press the lock multiple times before going in. And even after that I have to get out of my steaming hot shower dripping wet to check the lock AGAIN and it’s just BEBDGSBDBS

  • @SilenceHuman

    The intrusive thoughts are the most traumatic part of OCD for me, but the most physically frustrating are the compulsions I get when breathing and touching my hands (I have to take a several short breaths in until it feels right before I can breath out again, and i touch my knuckles over and over until they feel equal, and they are constantly so dry and cracked it hurts)

    I have OCD when I was little or my OCD used to be really bad to the point where I couldn't even sleep at night now it's not as bad but I still have to check the stairway I have to check the lights out to make sure nothing's on the floor because I go to bed when I just lay down and try to go to sleep if I have to always get up and look at something I always have to do things repeatedly repeatedly repeatedly sometimes it would even keep me up all night

  • @DDofLove
    @DDofLove 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I’m always checking things! Keep pressing the lock button on the car keys until it ‘feels good’ or hits my favorite number (5). I’m not a diagnosed OCD patient, and I don’t mean to offend anyone who does suffer, but it shocks me how many symptoms I fit under😭 I am not self-diagnosing. I know it is unlikely that I do have it and that I am just a very sure and contentious person. 😅

    What this young girl is doing is definitely OCD but only one aspect of the illness. The absolute WORST symptom are horrific thoughts and images that are completely against the person's will. Excruciating and painful when these intrusive thoughts occur. Best remedy that I have found so far is bursting into praise and worship unto the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the comfort to calm the evil storm.❤❤❤

    I was diagnosed with OCD in the early 90s. Back then I remember being humiliated and embarrassed for anyone to find out my condition. Sadly now I see so many people using OCD as a “quirk” and almost everyone at work “is OCD”. This video really was so spot on. The reading sentences thing, touching things until it’s “right” really effects my life.

    I don’t want to diagnose myself but if anyone could tell me if you think I may have OCD because I always think that I’m not normal haft to touch things on repeat after I get a thought or something bad will happen and it will cause me stress and I’ll haft to do it and I always get the same thoughts replaying that I don’t want to see and I haft to do something to myself a number of times in order or it’s like my brain can’t function and it’s actually really annoying and I go into a room and memorise what objects and what part I need to touch and if I touch my left leg I haft to touch them both then one then both then my right leg and it’s just confusing …
