Struggling with GCSE Science or nervous about the exams? Let an overly excitable Suffolk man attempt to explain it with bad metaphors and analogies.
How to make ice (almost) indestructible - Mr Pashler Science
Using just sawdust (or paper here) you can make a mysterious material called pykrete which is amazing - they almost made a ship out of it for real!
Have a go yourself!

With the effect that coronavirus has had on your learning, AQA have specified which topics are and are not on the 2022 summer GCSE combined science exams. How much energy is in our food? Crisp burning lab practical with Mr Pash!
มุมมอง 25K3 ปีที่แล้ว
I've got another practical in the lab for you - this time looking at the energy locked up in our food. By burning various crisps, we can see just how bad we should feel after demolishing a share pack of crisps - still worth it. As always, any feedback or suggestions are welcome and hope this makes live lessons and remote learning a bit less rubbish. Fretless by Kevin MacLeod Link: incompetech.f...
How the Covid (and other!) vaccines work
มุมมอง 4913 ปีที่แล้ว
Talk about the corona vaccines is everywhere. And not all of it is helpful. I thought I'd try and explain it all simply and debunk some of the conspiracies. Disclaimer: the actuality of it is a bit more complicated and I've simplified lots of it in order to get the basics across. Apologies virologists if I've mucked anything up. How to do starch tests on leaves - A practical guide with Mr Pash!

In this video, I walk you through the practical procedure to first remove the colour from the leaves and then perform the iodine starch test. Hope you find this useful! Photosynthesis, Explained - GCSE Science Keywords
มุมมอง 2944 ปีที่แล้ว
The first in a new series of explainer videos I'm planning explaining the nuts and bolts of a science keyword that's important for GCSE. Gotta start with the standard keyword of photosynthesis. What is it? What score would it get in scrabble? Why are plants green? Enjoy! AQA Trilogy Chemistry Paper 2 2018 Foundation Past Paper Walkthrough
Learnt a lot sir tyy
Hey sir nice vids 😂
You need to keep posting pleaseeeee 😭😭
Hi Mr Pashler Science, Please can you walkthrough video for 2020 1H and 2H Aqa Gcse Combined science higher as no one has done these. thanks!
My brain is working now
That's useful - not sure mine is!
And where are you going to use that to make a house?
Hi this is brilliant! Please can you do Specimen 2018 1H Aqa Gcse Combined Science trilogy higher walkthrough for Physics Chemistry and Biology as no one has done these. Thanks
I'll see what I can do - life has been very bsy which is why I haven't uploaded in like forever!
@@MrPashlerScienceOmd yes at least please do it for the paper 2s before the 7th of July which is the first paper 2. Thanks and there’s no real point of doing paper 1s now as the last paper 1 is tomorrow
Seems like a good video I will check it out later after I’m done with my rs test
Bro im from us i dont have a translator near me so couldnt understand shit 😂😅
It's chewsday innit
Is there any difference in the melting times between the two?
I didn't notice anything in particular but maybe that's something for you to try!
The fact that I did this exact thing in class last Tuesday 😭
you’re really slow
leaving it 6 months to reply confirms this. IT's there to go into dtails about things. If it was GCSE science any% speedrun maybe it'd take it quicker
meh. you should be weighing them afterwards too
Of course - this is an improvement to the basic method depicted. A bigger source of error might also be the act that once the water is boiling it's not going to increase in temperature anymore.
Thank you so much!!! You helped me decide what to and how to do it for my year 8 science experiment!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😊
Absolute stinker
👍🏿
I feel like teachers contribute a lot when explaining , if you really don’t get along with them Is so hard to make yourself listen to the person who makes you feel like shit in general , I automatically disconnect (not my science teacher) but in general . Thank you for this video anyways it rly helped for my exam tomorrow
Yeah I definitely agree with you. It's something I had as a student myself - it's always 2who" you've got next at school not "what". Just know that the vast majority of teachers are there to help you in any way they can. If not, that's where I can try and help :) I know I'm not the best at uploading but I'm planning to be better. I'm so sorry some of your teachers make you feel that way and I want you to know that you are an awesome person who is capable of great things. I know I don't know you personally but by trying your best and having the determination to even watch someone ramble on doing an exam on youtube instead of doing something fun I can tell you are :)
@@MrPashlerScience thank you so much for everything 💪🏻you really cheer my up haha , I can also tell you are a really nice person just by the way you try your best to upload , you don’t know how many people you saved haha , take your time and thank you
does it melt ???
It does! This is part of the reason that they shelved the idea of using it in ships but they had plans to have cooling ducts within the walls for this.
thank you
More teachers should have a yt channel or a tik tok acc
I think I'm just a bit tragic haha - need to get more on it!
why did you slap your hand🤣
thanks you helped me alot with my revision!
mr pashler
GCSE tomorrow, thanks so much!
did you pass?
Letssss goooooo best science teacher out there!!!!
hi please keep on uploading the exam paper walkthrough as I find them very helpful for me revising. Also, could you put the link of the exam your doing and the answers as people (like me) will find it very useful and efficient
I link them in the descriptions for you :) Will get back on it!
This is the mock paper that I did in year 10
Don’t worry about “waffling” and “rabbiting” on, even though you may think this was hard for some of us i found it so much easier when you explained it! Thank you so much for making my life easier 😂. I’m definitely stressing less now.
Thank you - I know I haven't been the best at uploading but glad I could help!
Pashy washy rainbow dashy
this was really helpful !!
I miss you
i miss him more
Thank you Mr Pashler!
Cookie crisp deserves to be on F rank
absolute heresy
watched this video in form today!!! Great video made me laugh a lot 😂
I LITERALLY JUST HAD THIS EXACT PAPER TODAY
For 52:08 you can immediately say it is the top or bottom one as they the only ones with cell wall as structure c and top one is wrong because vacuole is source a not b
Can you let me know the topics from the cgp guide like c1 b1 p1 etc
I will look at potentially doing a mini-sode with the CGP titles
Is this triple higher or combined higher
Clearly says combined science at the start of the vid
you know the topics that say "topics not assessed in the exam" does this mean that they won't appear at all or that they will still be in the exam in low tariff questions?
Not at all - they shouldn't appear in the low tariff either. The low tariff topics are the ones not mentioned in either list if that makes sense?
No more revising waffle anymore all thanks to u they sadly removed the topics I like in biology such as osmosis and btw in chemistry only gasses are not included when u said revise all
Hey there - I did mentioned it after I seemingly lost the plot. Theres the gas tests removed from higher and the idea of carbon dioxide and methane as greenhouse gases from the foundation. I talk about this around 6:50 :) Let me know if I can help with your revision in any way!
@@MrPashlerScience oh didn’t see that 😅
Why did I sit through 10 mins of this when u told us this in lesson 💀 Just getting ya views yk
i'm amazed that youtube recommended this randomly, i'm off to uni next year to study chemistry!
amazing! good luck :)
