my vocaloids' update situations are funny because gumi: got v2, v3 + extend and english, v4 + extend, two v6 voicebanks and a synthv plus 3 talk banks miku: got v2, v2 append, v3 + english, v4x + english, nt, and is getting sp and v6 in the foreseeable future; not only that but she's getting a big-budget anime movie avanna: not only did zero-g dip out of the vocal synth race, but vp apparently detested the results and came to dislike vocal synths as a whole, so she may well be stuck with a single voicebank in v3 for eternity

Update August 2024: the banana shrine worked Len's back

If you're not familiar with Moke's whole... situation He was supposed to be the second Chinese Vocaloid when the company president blew his development funds and was reprimanded by losing character rights which they later had to buy back. They created a new character, Yanhe, for his voicebank instead. Moke would be put on the backburner for six years until finally getting a V4 six years ago today, suffering numerous delays and releasing *AFTER* V5 came out and V4 was said to be retired. He and Qingxian were the last in the group to get a voice. Now all of the characters in his group are getting AI updates for ACE Virtual Singer, but he's last again with no mention of his new vb while all of the others are out or finishing their design contests. Minus (Yongye) was born from a similar character rights situation but has come into her own identity, receiving a new name and being the second AI voicebank from her company.
