Yes, it's true that they have discontinued the Pasmo Passport. But don't worry, you should still be able to get the regular Pasmo Card at the airport. We noticed this in early July. If Keikyu Line doesn't have Pasmo Passport, walk across to the left side to the Tokyo Monorail and check there for the Welcome Suica or Regular Suica card. It works the same as the regular Pasmo card. However, with the regular Pasmo card, you won't be able to purchase the Tokyo Subway Ticket on it, you'll need to go into a Tokyo Metro station office, and purchase the Tokyo Subway Ticket that they issue on a thinner magnetic card. Just landed and got 4 Pasmo card for my family! It still charges 500 yen per card, so paid 2,000 yen each. Thank you for your help.

Thank you for the update! So the regular Pasmo card is available! If you plan to revisit Japan, keep them, they don't expire. If you don't think you will use them again, then you can return them and get the 500yen refunded. Hope this helps!

Yes, it's been discontinued unfortunately, but let's wait and see if they will introduct something else. Both regular Pasmo/Suica cards work the same, eg. you can use them all over Japan, top them up the same way, etc. But it's better to get the regular Pasmo card because you can get the full refund on the deposit of 500yen, whereas with the Suica Card, there will be a 220yen return fee that will be charged. There are 3 APA hotels with very similar names in Shinjuku... 1)APA Hotel Shinjuku Kabukicho Chuo, 2)APA Hotel Shinjuku Kabukicho Tower, and 3)APA Hotel Higashi-Shinjuku Kabukicho Tower. So really need to check your reservation and then make sure Google Maps is giving you the correct one. Hope you still had a good trip!

Thank you for your question. Yes, you can pay for stuff with the Pasmo passport, not just at convenience stores, but also inside stores like Uniqlo etc. If you see the Pasmo sign as a payment method, you can use it. You can also top up the Pasmo Passport at convenience stores!

Hi there, we don't have a video for the bus to the hotel. The bus doesn't go to the hotel. However, the bus will drop you off at Shibuya station so you can still use this video to see how to walk to the hotel. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question. It seems they are not available at Haneda Airport anymore, you can only get them at Narita Airport. This is because they are discontinuing it in August 2024. However, you can get the Welcome Suica at Haneda Airport still (go to the left side for the Tokyo Monorail side for the Welcome Suica). www.jreast.co.jp/multi/en/welcomesuica/welcomesuica.html Welcome Suica works like a regular Pasmo card where you can top it up and use it, however you can't buy the Tokyo Subway Ticket with it. If you do want to buy the Tokyo Subway Ticket, you can buy the magnetic version (flexible business card that comes in red, blue and mustard color) by visiting the Tokyo Metro Pass offices or BicCamera shops. You can also get them at Haneda Airport. www.tokyometro.jp/tst/en/ticket-overseas-local.html (scroll down and click below the List of sale locations to see the locations by Airports, Stations etc). I recommend getting the Welcome Suica for your regular fare travels and for paying at 7-11 etc, AND getting the magnetic version of the Tokyo Subway Ticket for the unlimited travels on days when you need it. You can buy them ahead of time, eg. you can buy three 72-hour passes at Haneda Airport, then use it later on your trip. If you don't end up using it, you can go back to get a refund for them. Please confirm when you buy them just to be sure. Hope this helps!

That's good. The regular Suica & Pasmo cards will still work, but you just can't get the deal on the Tokyo Subway Ticket with them, so try getting the Pasmo Passport next time you visit. You can just it like your regular Suica & Pasmo cards AND get the Tokyo Subway Ticket with it!

You don't need to have a Pasmo Passport to get the Tokyo Subway Ticket, but the pain is, you need to go to the stores or Tokyo Metro/Toei subway offices when they are open, line up, show your passport to get one. With the Pasmo Passport, you don't need to worry about store/office hours, skip the line, just go to the subway station, use the ticket machine and get the pass the day you want to use it, it's a lot more convenient and flexible. More, if you happen to travel outside the area that's not covered by the Tokyo Subway Ticket, the machine will automatically deduct the fare from the balance on the Pasmo Passport. If you have the magnetic tickets, you would need to go to the station staff, explain where you got on and pay the difference. This is a huge pro of the Pasmo Passport.

Greater Tokyo Pass covers more trains companies in addition to Tokyo Metro and Toei Lines. It also includes all the smaller private railways such as the Keio Line, Odakyu Line etc. If you think you'll travel to the outskirts of Tokyo, then this could be the pass for you. It also allows travel on the Toei Buses. Here's the website with more information on which lines and which destinations that you can get to with the Greater Tokyo Pass. Hi there, thank you for your question! I don't think it can be used with the Tokyo Subway Ticket. Welcome Suica is offered by JR Rails, a different company from Tokyo Metro and Toei. If you specifically want to get the Tokyo Subway Ticket, you will need the Pasmo Passport or you can also go specifically to the Tokyo Metro/Toei office/Bic Camera stores and buy the Tokyo Subway Ticket in a magnetic ticket form.

Hi there, thank you for your question! According to Google Maps, the walk from Shibuya Station is around 8 minutes. But with kids and if it's busy when you arrive, maybe it will take 15-18 minutes. However, it should be a fun walk to the hotel, so take your time and enjoy it, and take in the sights! 🤩🤩🤩
