Templar Battleforce Leo Major Southbound Trail
Glad to see they kept the tradition lol
0:50 I am not against arctic cheetah, as it can have 7 energy slots, but ERLL is literally the worst weapon in the game. Not only it does low damage( very long cooldown 6 second, i think its the highest in the game) it is also extremely hot. Best weapon in the game is ER Small Laser for short range, and ERPPC for long range. Missiles have too few shots and they spread alot so i wouldnt use them on anyone other than Naomi. Ballistic is too heavy until assault mechs. Best early game mechs are Nova > Viper > Arctic Cheetah. They have maximum energy slots of 14 > 9 > 7. These mechs will have the highest dps, thanks for ERSL Boating. But if you want range, just get 2xERPPC and as many double heat sinks as possible.15+ is kinda needed for decent heat management.
Glad it's working out for you. Been the best strategy I've come up with yet. When you get that Nova, make sure you put a solid ton of armor in CT. If you evenly spread armor throughout the Nova, it can be just as tanky as the heavies, and about as powerful as the Assaults. If you think 5x Arctic Cheetahs with 6x ER-SLs hit hard, wait till you run 5x Novas with 14x ER-SLs.
I love building mech loadouts too. I like to try and play the games using stock configurations first then going back and trying new ones. Feel free to post any more build you think might make good ones. So far MW5 Clans is a pretty fun entry to the franchise and it looks like there will be lots of new things to try with builds. I just hope they redo the research list a bit better. It is kinda confusing and hard to sort through now.
@@stepheneddington1667I can make few suggestions, but robbing you of the experience and experimentation of the mechlab is a bit of a crime. That said, I'm very familiar with how confusing and messy many of the game mechanics are, and I might as well provide some pointers to alleviate the confusion. A couple of features I might share with you in the interests of averting regrets; as you level your pilots, you will unlock mech specializations for them. First one you unlock after you've leveled your pilot 5 times; 2nd specialization is level 10; then a 3rd at 16; all the way up to a 5th specialization at level 28. My advice to you is to save your pilot specializations for the mechs you enjoy piloting in the endgame. You only get 5 specializations per character, and you cannot change your specializations after having made a selection. These specializations pertain to specific chassis and tonnage groups, and can provide up to 30% improved pilot skill on a specific chassis. Save them for Assault Class and Assault mechs, you won't be using the little guys late game. As for builds? Well, it's no secret that you can get a lot of mileage out of a Nova, but variety is the spice of life. I recommend picking up one or two Mad Dogs and unlocking both the A and B variant Omnipods. This will allow you to run 5x ER-SLs with 6x SRM-6 for colossal firepower, but it will be hot, and you will want to significantly up armor the Mad Dog for brawling. If memory serves, my personal Mad Dog runs 10.5 additional tons of armor and 7 tons of ammo, but this scores Assault levels of Armor (just shy of 700 Armor total) and potentially the highest total practical firepower in the game at 150+. The Mad Dog can serve as a micro assault, and can quite comfortably see you from halfway through Turtle Bay all the way to the final mission. Timberwolf is similarly resilient, but not quite as powerful. More versatile, certainly. JJs and extreme long range capabilities will distinguish it from the Mad Dog. But don't be in a rush for the Assaults. The two most easy understand also happen to be the most impactful, the Warhawk and the Direwolf, but there are niches for the Gargoyle and Executioner. I just wouldn't invest too heavily in fielding multiple Executioners or Gargoyles. 1 of each is all you really want.
So im only getting 12 er sl total and no ams. And 1 omnipod has 6 hard points and a ams, but it won't let me put 6 er sls only 3.
@@Nesimus my Nova has 12 ERSL + 541 armor + 18DHS. I can use it until i get to assault mech missions. By then i'd have upgraded to Gargoyle so no probs.
We are Clan Wolf..... We are Jade Flacon.... and now.... We Are Smoke Jaguar
Made it to the third Tip and had to stop, I can not recommend hard enough not to follow any of the first 3 tips in this video, they will actively harm your playthrough. Honor should in large part be spent on Upprading Salvage first, by the end of the game you will be fine on any research points but getting those salvage parts is your blocker. 600 is the max you can get. Buy your newly unlocked mechs first then straight to Salvage. Top Speed and Accel/Decel by far the most important mech chassis upgrades.
Step one: play a better game ,steps 2-4 repeat step one.
Okay, best thing you can do in 3 simple steps: 1st: Ignore technicians. You will penalize yourself in late game if you don't max salvage ASAP, given that it is a finite resource, and you want to amass it as soon as possible. Spend ALL your Merit on Salvage until it gets maxed out, 4 missions into Santander. 2nd: Sell all your starter mechs, except for the 2 Arctic Cheetahs. Buy 3 more Arctic Cheetahs. Outfit them with 2x ER-LLs and ECM for the 1st Mission. You get 400 EXP per mech per mission, and with 5 Arctic Cheetahs, you'll get 2K EXP for the Chassis on the first mission. 2K EXP is enough to unlock all of the omnipods. I recommend outfitting all 5 with ECM, 6x ER-SLs, armor, and a heatsink or two. They'll have stunning DPS, damage, range, heat management, and be completely ammo independent. Not only that, but ECM heavily impacts enemy accuracy, dramatically increasing the arctic Cheetah's survival. These 5 Arctic Cheetahs are all you'll need until you unlock the Nova. 3rd: Buy 5 Novas ASAP. Convert them to 14x ER-SLs, 1 AMS, and a hefty boost of armor. Each ER-SL hits for 5 damage, so 14 of them give you monstrous alpha strike that will one shot most mechs. From here on out, the mechs to get are the Mad Dog (SRM Boat/Tank; you can cram 6x SRM-6 and 5 ER-SLs into with an obscene amount of armor pods), Timberwolf (Excellent Laser Platform, put 3 ER-LLs in the Omni-A RT Pod for high mounts and tight convergence), Warhawk (Extremely Versatile, favors BFG builds over a ton of tiny guns), and Direwolf (Need I say more?). Mist Lynx and Kit Fox are hot garbage. Viper is passable, but quickly replaced by the Shadowcat. Adder and Shadow cat are passable. Hellbringer is hot garbage. Summoner is passable, but extremely niche. We're talking 5x SRM-6 and 2x AMS + all the armor pods levels of niche. Gargoyle's most unique setup is a tank. You can cram a couple of tiny guns and a metric ton of armor into it. Otherwise, Gargoyle is a worse Timberwolf. Executioner is BAE, but you gotta play it right. 11x ER-SLs and 2x ER-PPCs makes for an impressive loadout, but the Executioner's Armor, or lack there of, means that it is quite squishy. Abuse the MASC and Jump Jets for hit and run tactics. It is the ultimate poptart unit, so get accustomed to shooting on the wing.
@clayendfield4850 Those sound like fun things to try. Nova's were always neat. I remember a setup for them from MW 2 where they had all ppc's. Hit the enemy I'm the right spot and you could one shot any other mech in the game.
Did you mean 6 of something else for the Cheeta? I have a build where I have 3 ER-SL and 3 ER-M, and I'm like "isn't this better than just 6 ER-SLs?" With no large lasers, I still have bad range though
Thanks
Did y make a guide seems like you know what what your talking about

@@stepheneddington1667 Thanks! BTW, have you considered playing games from Topware? One of my personal favoites was The Moon Project.
You played very fast and effectively. 31:12 I have never seen the mission played for under an hour. Personally, I use the 30 minute timer from the beginning to the end before I start the transporter. This is for maximum energy. I broke my energy record and started this mission with over 300000 energy. In this mission I build a lot of artillery and anti-aircraft for defense and park 50 to 60 ,,Hyper Velocity Python Tracks'' below the landing zone. My attacks are versatile.
My favorite way to play the game as I got use to it was to speed run it. I use to be able to do the first campaign in about 4 hours. I remember the first time I got to the final level, so much of my base had been destroyed and I saw the 30 minute time limit and was like 'how the eff do they expect you to beat this!?' I use to set one of my factories to build nothing built artillery units and kept bringing them in every minute. It was funny trying to keep a CB Tower up and running and watching my missiles, mortars, and shells just fire off at the enemy bases after they hit me. Calling in artillery support with the commander could also wipe out enemy bases very quickly. I've noticed that something seems to have change because it doesn't seem to work like it did before. I tried turning it on from the commander control panel and nothing happened and artillery units I had assigned to my commanders wouldn't attack anything. Over all, I've really enjoyed this version and I'm glad its still getting so much support and love the dev team that takes care of it now.
Almost forgot. I just recently downloaded the WZ2100 from the open site, but I need help with something. How can I install new maps?
You can get new maps from here, maps.wz2100.net/ They go in the map folder which should be in the games main directory.

Aaahhh, the memories. I used to have the original CD game and absolutely enjoyed it. Thank you so much for bringing back those sweet memories. 🎮🤩👌👍
Loved this game way back when. Used to just leave my units in place to harvest kills to upgrade. Made losing them a real pain. Where can I get it again?
@@miximusoptimus2413 you can download the game from wz2100.net
@@stepheneddington1667 Thans for the info Dude.
My personal preference. I only research NEXUS bodies because of the new alloys. I don't use the NEXUS bodies. I don't research any NEXUS weapons, starting with the Flashlight Laser. Reason 1. I like it better when different factions don't have the same things. Reason 2. The good weapons from NEXUS come very late anyway. The maximum damage power and rate of fire in the last mission. Reason 3. It's just not worth it because after the third campaign there is no fourth one where you can use the weapons extensively.
For me, Gamma 8 is the easiest mission of all three campaigns. NEXUS has absolutely no chance against the defense that you can build up for Gamma 8 in Gamma 7. 18:00 -- 260 enemy units are unfortunately ridiculous. If NEXUS were worried about its laser satellites, there would have to be between 500 and 1000 enemy units here.
A nice and very easy mission. In the first five minutes of the mission time I destroy all enemy factories with VTOL. This means that I only have 30 enemy units in this mission. I destroy the rest quietly and peacefully with sensor units and artillery.
This mission is a bit difficult. But it's good that the artillery that was built in previous missions can help a bit here. Because I love order, I dismantled everything in the top two thirds of the map before completing the mission. Of course not the Oil Derricks.
@amxhwvhmvawx2735 I usually leave everything where it was built in the previous levels. It seems to give the laser satellites something to target. All the times I've played this level before, they seem to start in the north and work down the map.
@@stepheneddington1667 In Gamma 7, the laser satellites basically stay north of the player LZ that you have had since Gamma 1. If you dismantle everything like I did, the laser satellites just fire to the ground. For me personally, it is also important that I get 50% of my energy back through the dismantling
@@amxhwvhmvawx2735 ok, thanks for that tip. Never noticed that firing pattern before.
0:27 It's not that hard with some informations about the level. If you stay in the valley after you repelled the first cyborg attacks you have the time to wait for your last transport and to build a base. The only attacks will come from VTOLs 3:28 With the decision to leave the valley to the west you activated the factories in the SW Nexus base. If you don't want to do it you should build a sensor tower near this exit/entrance and your artillery will destroy these annoying hover units. Btw, if you leave the valley north you activate the two factories in the northern bases. To avoid bypassing one of these two trigger we added a trigger in the middle of the map you will activate accidentaly a bit later 8:00 I suppose somewhen here around you activated the middle trigger I mentioned 11:54 Unlucky position of your repair facility. The repaired units get blocked by the damaged units and vice versa 20:11 Yes, you're good. For a different strategy in a level still to come (not too much far away) I recommend to build a lot more artillery defenses. I'll come back to this when the level I mean is online
Gamma 5. Earlier, you only had to research one artifact in this mission. The mission was over quickly even though you had a time limit of 60 minutes. I think it's good that since some versions you have to research 4 artifacts in order for the 60 minutes to be used. 16:27 That is nice. A factory is absorbed by NEXUS and immediately a NEXUS unit comes out with no production time.😄
@amxhwvhmvawx2735 It is fun story wise that you have to take the time to research all 4 of the artifacts. The sense of impending doom as you don't know what will happen next is both frustrating and exciting.
Gamma 4. In the first 30 to 35 minutes I build a lot of defenses for Gamma 5 on the base map. I don't want to spend much time on the transporter map. Quickly get the Alpha team units and leave again.
Shelgoroth will become one with man. Spooky.
For Gamma 3 I produce a lot of VTOL in the second part of Gamma 2. I'm using them to remove the two annoying LZ from NEXUS as quickly as possible. Otherwise it is also a very nice mission.
Gamma 2 is one of only three transporter missions and the only one that is very enjoyable. But there is a problem. You have to wait until the end of the first mission time of 75 minutes to get the maximum energy. 11:20 You ended the mission 56 minutes too early and thus missed out on about 26000 energy.
For the way I'm playing, I didn't really cheat myself out of any energy. I've done that in the past and found it really didn't make much difference in the long run for me.
@@stepheneddington1667 Yes, I see that you play economically and with minimal losses. Personally, the maximum energy gives me a feeling of security and strength.
0:15 You don't have to sacrifice any unit. You can transport up to 39 combat units (you must have at least one truck in a transport) and recycle all others. Their experience will then be transfered to Gamma campaign 0:58 Nope, the units in the southeast are also ground reinforcements 1:01 The frequency of enemy reinforcements is the same for the entire level 4:31 Another way is to recycle one of them and reproduce it as a commander General hint 1: You can farm experience with the ground units appearing in the southeast corner. Build some bunkers there to distract them. Place a sensor unit on the plateau. Assign a group of Ground Shaker units to the sensor. Use some trucks to rebuild the destroyed bunkers. Recycle the sensor unit and the Ground Shaker shortly before the level end. The experience of these units is transferred to Gamma (see comment above) General hint 2: The level is lost when you have no trucks and no factories on the map.
0:44 You even have the time to approach the cyborgs in the west before they attack you while your trucks are building defenses. 1:46 These artillery defenses are not necessary yet. I would recommend to build a sensor tower and more AA pits first. Also to build the AA pits a few tiles more north and the sensor tower behind the AA pits. 3:40 This early compromise of the LZ is no longer possible in version 4.5.1. The LZ area got decreased so that the enemy units have to enter the south side of the river and not only the land bridge to compromise the LZ. 4:02 It' not really stopping the timer. The timer is still running but you can't see it any more and the transport is unable to land. 15:58 Me too.
Hey^
Jey Sheep and assortment of weirdos 😊😅
Nice
21:40 Unfortunately, one Oil Derrick was still missing before the mission was completed. 22:36 You could have started Gamma 2 with about 27000 energy.
In version 4.4.2. I always destroyed all NEXUS factories very quickly with Bunker Buster VTOL. 21:45 This resulted in me only having about 44 enemy units in this mission. In version 4.4.2. the price for the VTOL Bunker Buster was only 150 energy. But in the current version 4.5.2. the price for the VTOL Bunker Booster was increased to ➡500⬅ energy. This is the highest weapon price in the game. That makes this mission not so fun for me anymore.😄
When I get ready to build new units after unlocking the right Nexus bodies, I'll be using Bunker Busters again. I've never really liked using Air units because most of the time they just end up dying in the main game. I have used them in skirmish games. Certain maps are great for air tactics if you can research and build quick enough.
@@stepheneddington1667 I have now found a good alternative to quickly destroy the NEXUS factories. But unfortunately I have to keep that to myself.😄
2:50 Yes, he was there. You didn't check your corners. He was guarding a floor chicken. Mmmmm 8-bit Floor Chicken 🍗🐔.... 😋
Thanks for this share 👍

Information about higher difficulty: On Hard and Insane you don't have less time in this mission. Instead, the number of enemy units is significantly higher. This makes the mission more interesting. 11:03 In other videos I have seen that you can have over 800 enemy units on Hard and over 1000 on Insane. This is because additional enemy troops are arriving in the west and even enemy transports are landing. I'm very jealous on Normal for that.😕
A lot of these killed enemy units are VTOLs, killed by AA pits.
This is the special mission I was talking about.😀 For this mission, players can build defenses in Beta 3 and Beta 5. I don't do that myself because the Collective's attacks on Normal are not strong enough. I always build the defense immediately at the beginning of this mission.😄
The flock has been driven mad?!
Haunted message? //sips 🍵// I don't know anything about that but I did love the surround sound effects of that haunted...errr halted message.
Poor Ordis has such a hard time with this mission lol.
I sheep that vid.
5:38 To be precise: Pepperpot Pits ;) 9:15 The Assault Cannon - Deals more damage than the Hyper Velocity Cannon but has less hp, shorter range, more weight, and cost more. Costs are irrelevant with the power you have, weight only matters when you don't use hover. 9:35 I recommend usually having repair facilities near to the front line. 9:50 And this destroyed unit shows why I recommend it I was wondering that you still used MRP units. Like the Lancer they are outmatched by the Tank Killer.
Yeah at first I thought they were Bombards, then I realized they were firing faster and they were the Pepperpots. Had already coded the video and wasn't in the mood to spend another 30 minutes redoing a few second sound clip. I also tend to wait to replace older units till I'm ready to build a new group with better bodies. Sometimes I'll get pretty far into a game and may have a few units from the first few levels still running around.
The last mission with enemy bases in the Beta campaign. Compact and also a bit difficult. In this mission I start replacing the Heavy Cannon with the Hyper Velocity Cannon for the first time.
Quake with Lobo and Spawn?!?! 👀
@@LordofSyn I have a fun mod collection. Including some NSFW or streaming.
Look, im a simple man and usually dont like anime as I've been burned out on it... But I think id would play the hell out of a Sailor Moon Doom game because that sounds interesting and punny.
YeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaawwwwwwww
9:15 Assault Cannon. An interesting weapon but unfortunately unusable in contrast to the Hyper Velocity Cannon. This weapon is more expensive although the performance is insufficient. The Assault Cannon has more firepower against only a few targets. The Hyper Velocity Cannon has significantly more health, a longer range, and destroys many targets just as quickly. In a duel, a ,,Assault Cannon Python Tracks'' cannot defeat a ,, Hyper Velocity Cannon Phython Tracks''. The Assault Cannon even has less health than the Heavy Cannon.
>In a duel, a ,,Assault Cannon Python Tracks'' cannot defeat a ,, Hyper Velocity Cannon Phython Tracks''.< This is not what the two cannons are balanced for and also no situation you will see in the game. If you want to make a "duel" test them against tracked Tiger or hover Retribution tanks. Nevertheless, due to your feedback the Assault Cannon will match the hp of the Heavy Cannon in one of the next releases and will also get a damage buff which let it deal 20% more damage than the HVC.
@@alfred0077 That's very good. Will the price of 300 energy be maintained ?
@@amxhwvhmvawx2735 The prices stay unchanged. Imo, they are only with Insane difficulty relevant.
The next mission of gigantic fun.😀 With lots of targets for the Heavy Cannons. (For me) But unfortunately the beta campaign is coming to an end.😥
That is so cool. I am glad the community repurposed the building and port area. Makes all the hard work pay through when an old industrial area can be made into commercial or green space.
I've actually been to that flea market many times before. Use to sell herb plants with my mother years ago. She's got into making fudge now and decided to go there last weekend. @@stepheneddington1667 Those machines looked clean too. They've been well taken care of. Homemade fudge is amazing and I hope her sales improve. The more she is out there, the more people will see her and be willing to buy.
En1gma loves this level! O7
All the Hydra squad loves this level. But my genetic memories carry the legends of the great Neptunes. So powerful that the great TB's of the universe gave them the Mark of the Nerf.
2:40 The factory production of two cyborg and one of the tank factory in the middle base starts asa you detect the base. You can see this at the top of the video. Avoiding this as long as possible makes your life way easier. Therefore I recommend not to build these sensor towers so early. But it's not mandatory. The other factories get activated when you enter some areas or latest after 5 minutes 3:37 Here you can see the production of a TK tank better 12:00 This is not 100% correct. The base in the Northeast has a ground units factory but no VTOL factory. The VTOLs you encounter are preplaced on the map
20:28 Hyper Velocity Cannon. This weapon was earlier slightly weaker than the Heavy Cannon. This made sense because it was a better replacement for the Medium Cannon. For some time now it has been significantly stronger than the Heavy Cannon. I think it is a new and better weapon overall. In version 4.4.2. it still had a price of 175 Energy. In the current version 4.5.1. it costs 250 Energy.
The goal of the Remasterd Balance is and was to make every weapon a viable choice (at least at some levels). In earlier version the HVC was useless because of being weaker than the HC. The same for the Assault Cannon you get in the next level. I will explain their differences in the Beta 9 video.
@@alfred0077 Unfortunately, I will have to criticize the Assault Cannon again. But later in the Beta 9 video.
21:35 Tank Killer. I have always avoided this weapon. And nothing will change that. Tank Killer are too expensive at 250 Energy. Lancer are only slightly weaker but only cost 100 Energy. For Tank Killer you use 150 more energy per unit. For almost nothing.🤔
I wouldn't say nothing. In Beta 10 the TK deals 23% more damage than the Lancer against a tracked Tiger tank and in Gamma 1, 25% more against hover Retribution tanks. In the version 4.5.1 the TK got already a small buff.
@@alfred0077 Tank Killer does more damage but Lancer makes up for it with a faster rate of fire. That's how I always saw it.
@@amxhwvhmvawx2735 Maybe in older versions. In the current version, my numbers are correct. I'm one of the two devs who made the Remasterd Balance and calculated the damages with a spread sheet considering base damage, damage and ROF ungrades, enemy propulsion and armor, and accuracy. Then I tested the result in the game. Dealing approximately 1/4 more damage is the higher price worth. Especially with Normal where you have not power problems.
@@alfred0077 I also test all weapons in the game on different targets. 1/4 more damage is correct. But personally I would only replace the Lancer if the Tank Killer cost 150 Energy.
@@amxhwvhmvawx2735 That's fine for me. You can of course use the weapons of your choice due to your preferences. My main point is that I disagree with your "For almost nothing" statement.
