Rockstar takes max payne multiplayer for xbox down and no way of playing original gta trilogy either gaming sucks nowadays
I think you can still play the original trilogy. I have them on my Steam account.

@@robsabey5190 Rockstar shut down console servers in Nov of 2021, one month before Xbox made it backward compatible.

You should! There's at leas tone lobby going most days. And the game runs great on current PCs.

Shit man, I've tried getting a match on here for hours at a time and never found anything.
Most Active hours are usually: Eastern Standard Time: 12 Noon - 5-6pm, Sometimes later to 9-10pm. Large Team Deathmatch most active mode. Small Team DM and Regular Deathmatch the next most active. Soft Lock lobbies usually more active than Free Aim lobbies. Check Steam & Discord Max Payne communities for other players.

Technically it's the official Rockstar server, but on PC it's p2p, so really it's one of the players is randomly chosen as the host.

In the main menu go to Multiplayer then choose Soft Lock or Free Aim lobby. Soft Lock Team Deathmatch are usually where the most players are.
