Thank you for completely wasting my time advertising junk. The dumbest thing you can do is buy junk boots like these Just buy Jim Greens or something built to last.
Removing the inner soles! Bloody hell! Simple genius from a Cane Toad! Top advice. Thanks and good onya Mate!
Ok such a basic practical fix but it worked! I am floored.
That’s awesome! I’m glad it worked!
I remember my father using a rain cover for his hat when most men all wore hats (many decades ago).
Do you still wear one?
@@goldersromatoowoomba372 Not me! 😊
Exactly, carry an Akubra on ya noggin, they are made to be worn !!
Haha so true!
I would have got the cattleman if it didn't have a hem around the edge of the brim. I have been wearing the bronco for three years but got the Territory recently and love it
Is it just the style you don't like with them hem or has it caused you issues in the past?
@goldersromatoowoomba372 I am not too keen on the style of a hem but also imagine the hem could start pulling away over time
Yeah fair enough but I will say that we haven't seen the hem pull away yet.
Place them in a cooler "supermarket bag" zipped up on floor of vehicle.
Are you talking about those material supermarket bags?
What about in a cooler bag like you get at supermarket if leaving it in a hot car?
You typically shouldn't need to, it should be cool enough on the floor.
Isn’t the Queenslander the same as the Territory but with a slightly smaller brim ?
This is more like the cattleman with a wider brim and an Australian hand platted band.
THANK YOU. Instant relief
You are welcome!
Took the insoles out. Almost immediate relief. Just got a sore foot from earlier. I'm gonna throw a bag of water in them and stick them in the fridge. Heard that stretches them a bit
Thanks for sharing! Also let us know how the bag of water in the fridge trick works.
The Best, I bought them over the years.
Hope you loved them all!
😮😮
Video doesn't have any sound!!!!
Hey this one is just for showing the size of the bag. We do have a full length video here: th-cam.com/video/vhCXUlpCOL8/w-d-xo.html
WHat about the steel part hurting the top of your foot
Hi, this should also help as your foot will be lower in the shoe. But if it doesn't, let me know!
@@goldersromatoowoomba372 I have two pair of insoles I need to take a pair out huh
If you do have 2 then definitely try with only 1 in. 2 soles will make a huge difference to the room your foot has.
Thank you sir
You are welcome!
Had a pair of the exact same boots and after 4 years of storage the soles fell apart.
Were you able to replace the sole?
@@goldersromatoowoomba372 I didn`t enquire about sole replacement. They went to the rubbish dump.
Got one …..love it
Awesome!
TQ for the tips
Any time!
Guys , put the hats on in the videos ..👍
Do ya have US shipping?
We can normally arrange it, your best bet would be to email our corp team golderscorp@gmail.com
The inner sole removal just saved my life 😂, you're the man! Thank you good sir!
You are very welcome! Love hearing that it helped!
Try living in the u.k rains most of the time. Get back home asap and use paper towels to get most of the wetness off it and place it brim upwards and leave it dry. Bought it in Melbourne in 2017 ,wear it evey day, it is still going strong.
Have you found it shrink at all, or does wearing it daily help with that?
This is the perfect informational advertisement. Straightforward and to the point. Might have to pick up some boots myself!
Thanks for the feedback and you are always welcome! I can recommend the Wingding Trucka Boots ;)
One of the few boots still made in Australia unlike blunderstones
Very true!
GELS GELS GELS!!!! I can’t emphasize it enough!!! GEL INSOLES will help most if not all boots and get a size at least a half size up!!! GEL insoles help fight foot fatigue with all day use! Cushions and memory foam is not gonna work!
Sounds like you have had good experience with gel insoles in the past. Whats the main reason you find them better than the cushion or memory foam ones?
Great video 😁
Thanks 😁
Thanks 😁
hi, do you have a size guide for your hammer and needle anti static vest?
Hi, we do, did you want to shoot me a message on the Golders Toowoomba Roma facebook page and I can give it to you there?
@@goldersromatoowoomba372 Hi, thank you for the reply, I have already received it via email! Thank you.
Great boots. Good value.
Agreed!
Hello. Uh, fooie why didn’t I think of this for my fella
Hope it helps!
Looks like a great product. Even better that you are promoting the use of a handkerchief. Other than myself I only know one other bloke who uses them.
I love them, much better than using tissue paper!
Neatsfoot oil will help stretch the headband …
Thanks for the tip!
What Akubra is shown here? Looks like a rough rider band, but with vent holes?
Hey this is the Akubra Airtime in Sand... a Golders exclusive style. www.golderstoowoombaroma.com/main/men/hats/akubra-airtime-in-sand/
Done n it works thanks alot
Awesome!
I love my cattleman, i have had it now for about 6 years & its a hat that will last me a life time. I use a Akubra Hat Jack to keep its size.
The Hat Jack is a great tool!
Good Lord. Removing the soles did the trick. Thank you!
You're welcome!
This is a game changer for me. I took the insoles out and instantly felt relief. Thank you so much for the tip. So simple yet so effective!
Glad to hear :)
How 2 shrink shoes 2 big
Hi, the best way to make shoes that are to big fit better is to use a innersole. If you can find one that is thick enough it will take a lot of room out of the shoe.
I didn’t realise that some Akubras have hat bands that are manufactured overseas! How disappointing. How can you find out which bands are made in Australia?
You can ask in store when you are looking to purchase or contact Akubra directly and ask about a specific style.
I have narrow feet and I've worn Converse my whole life But now I need to use steel toe work boots and the toe cap is always so darn narrow even for my feet that it prevents my toes from splaying when I step. The tip has no flex it's insanely uncomfortable. I tried going wider boots and those are too wide my foot is just knocking around in there. Any idea what I could do? Regular is too narrow and wide is too wide
With a steel tip boot you are better off going wide than narrow. To help with the wider boots you could looks at getting a custom inner sole or even just a thick one off the shelf or some bigger work socks. However, you would be best off shopping around as many brands as possible to find one that fits naturally.
@@goldersromatoowoomba372 Thanks a million. I just ordered a E and EE and wool socks. I'm going to try them both out for a week and keep the ones that fit best
Awesome, let me know how it goes.
ty much
You are welcome
Great idea 👍
Thanks!
Looks like a handy product. I need to see if they are here in Brisbane anywhere.
Hi Andrew, I am sure you would be able to find it somewhere in Brisbane but if you can't you can always jump onto our website and get it here: www.golderstoowoombaroma.com/main/men/hats/hat-care/felt-hat-cleaning-sponge/
@@goldersromatoowoomba372 Thanks, will do.
I've had these type of Mongrel boots and they are easily the best boots l've ever had
We love them too!
Ah! Nobody told me he would be Australian! I can't even understand what the hell he is trying to say
Haha, the main take away of this one is that you can take out the inner sole of your boots to give yourself more space.
Good work Tyson
Thanks!
I know all the comments are bots saying the same thing but I actually removed my soles from my boots and for some weird god damn reason they feel way much better. I wear Danner MEB boots. But when I wore my summer boots they fine with the soles in. Weird idk.
Definitely depends on the shoe, but some shoes inner soles have a large amount of cushion so removing it can provide pretty significant space.
Mate , Cheers instant relief...a brilliant tip Thanks 👍
Awesome to hear! Glad it helped :)
A bit off topic, but I hope you have an answer. When was the Akubra Territory first introduced?
Hey, sorry for the delay we got in touch with Akubra to ask them directly but they came back and said they don't have those details either. If we find out more I will update you.
@@goldersromatoowoomba372 Thank you.
Yep. Have worn Akubra on & off for years.. It is annoying though in a tough country like Australia just how fragile these hats are. Can’t leave them here.. can’t put them there.. don’t get them wet.. don’t let them get hot.. don’t place them brim down .. etc.. etc.. makes it difficult to go bush with them.. he, he, he..
Hi, a lot of the suggestions for Akubra hats are more about preserving the hat for decades... if they get hot, cold, wet, etc. in most cases it wont immediately ruin an Akubra but it will reduces its life span.
