SharkRF Openspot Profiles

Run down of what Open Spot profiles are, why you may want to use them and how.
Thank you Rob, one question how do I get to TG on a FT3DR I PUT in 00505 and end up over seas
How to firmware upgrade in aa30zero?
Well Done.
Very informative video. Thanks for posting. Barry, KU3X
Glad it was helpful!
Which shop did you buy it?
Thanks Rob.
Thanks for the feed back and hope it helped in some way.
I purchased it. I like PC software.
You should have shown what fields to populate in creating a profile. Instead you show already created profiles and how to switch between them. You could also benefit from an IP scanner app.
The configuration of each profile is of personal preference depending on how you'd like to use them. I explain from about the 4 min mark you can setup the network, modem and connector settings for each profile. I do indeed have an IP scanner on my droid, I use network analyzer and find it works quite well. Using the function on the radio is just another method to discover the Spots IP.
Very well explained Rob. This will help not only FTDX-3000 users but other radio operators as well. Good job 👍
Thanks Radio Axe. Appreciate the feed back and glad you found it helpful.
THANKS! I'm guessing that the "Wires X" button on more modern Yaesu HT's would work? Thanks for the Video! KB5SCW
Glad you found it helpful. The Openspot uses DTMF commands to switch profiles in C4FM mode. I believe you can use Wires X to switch between connectors (rather than profiles) though haven't tried it. The FT70D is also capable of Wires X by tapping Function (and releasing) then the AMS button.
@@robsshack3651 Yeah.... I've been having alot of fun with the OpenSpot3---- I use the OS3 when I'm out and about-----then a hardwired Pi-Star hotspot at home. So far, been working well.
I haven't got an OS3 to play with yet. Looks like a great upgrade with true hardware vocoder. How long does the internal battery last?
